That looks to have had some seriously heavy industrial use. Lets hope it gets to live on is some form or other if not rescued for a restoration project. (And just mebb'e passed onto to the green crowd when work times finally ended).

I cut 1/4" thick rubber re-enforced mat which I cut to a decent size and fit with 'Swinging hinges' to me trucks. The diamond T has no flaps. But I like them and think it looks better, so that gets the same fitments as well. (Though larger).

I have never in my many days ever seen a truck like that. I would therefore most certainly bring it back to fully original. Since you did not (seem to) have paid too much for it. You will be a winner for sure when it is restored.
