You do know that clip in the frame was placed there to hold the wiring harness in place. I just noticed that the pictures show the harness unattached to the clips.
I guess now I seen that. I bought brand new certified Conrail ties and used them. I seen railroad ties that are over 100 years old. After thought is they are setting on a stone grade and never have a chance to soak up water with the sun shining on them everyday. I can only hope the remaining 3...
Things are really hot and dry here. I saw a groundhog sneaking around and drinking water out of the chicken feeder and then it was eating the scratch grain. It was 94* in the barn semi-shaded. I worked on my Honda tractor. This is a well-built machine that has served me well for the past 30...
Yesterday I thought I went thru the desert on a horse with no name. I have a lot of work to do on many projects and the sun was a killer yesterday. I started on a repair project outside and it was in full sun. I thought it was a 1/2 hour - hour job. I worked several hours on it showered and...
(2) Marketplace - Chevy Truck Cab | Facebook
I have 1 question about this cab. how would you put the dash back in it? But other then that I think the $1,000. is a great deal and you get the rotisserie also.
Go back to rough country and ask them that question. Most stock shocks come with the correct mounts and frame studs. Maybe you need to remove the studs from the stock shocks and use them. I am sure they are not worn out. That lift kit stuff is mostly imported garbage that is put on trucks as an...
It does not have a side preference. Like I said getting the old one out is harder than putting the new one in. And keep in mind you can get by with somethings just by a good cleaning and a good application of grease. I fixed front axles at 0300 many times and had no parts but used and grease...
The batteries need load tested.
This is a chart showing what a battery condition is. And this indicates after being load tested. Good Luck. I know a lot of people don't like it when I say the battery is bad even with a 12 volt reading. It is the amperage that does the trick. Good Luck.
I would double check that wiper motor, the switch and the ground. I have plowed 40 inches of snow with a CUCV and few times I had issues with wipers. Something is wrong if you have issues. I have owned many vehicles and hey all have about the same power at the wiper motor.
It has been a very busy time here at my end of the Earth. 96* lots or rain and the grass keeps growing. Mowing and baling has got me sweat blind. It was a 3-shirt day yesterday. I received a few parts requests via PM. Here we go. Lower flywheel cover with new bolts and the flange nuts are...
You know it took me all these years to figure out WTF you were referring to. The Yeti rambler. My always faithful side kick. 1/2 gallon of coffee for $1.58 every Saturday and Sunday at Loves truck stop.
Terminus M1009 | Page 19 | SteelSoldiers
It's been 5 years since my 8 hour M1009 paint job. I wonder how it is holding up. Last time I seen it it was far away in a field pulling a wood trailer. I heard someone bought Terminus M1009 and is going to restore it. Anyone here? Good Luck with that...
Duralast Bearing B2414 (autozone.com)
Nothing special about a CUCV dana 60 front axle. Stock 1984 K30 parts fit. Any parts store can get the parts for you. The spindle bearings are difficult to remove from the spindle and easy to install. Make sure to replace the spindle seals.
Best Axle...
Parts requests.
Driveshaft yoke Spicer M1009 with new U joint. The 2 on left are new yokes. I have hoarded many drive shafts and axles over the years. Parts are parts.
Rear B/O lamp used, and I spent an hour removing it with hand tools to preserve it. I messed up a few trying to remove them...
CUCVRUS Repair Projects | Page 14 | SteelSoldiers
I am reposting this rebuild of the side tracks because I received a few Emails about my process. I can promise this method works smoother and will last longer than the imported felt liners. Good Luck.
