    I agree that it would be a time saver if everything goes right, but working with your head under the frame, fighting getting everything apart, lying on your side and bent over, is not going to be easy. I have never attempted the task leaving the springs in. Give it a shot.

    Take about a 1/4'' drill bit and drill out as much of the rubber around the bushing as you can and then use your air hammer when you do your spring eyelets. Buy some extra assembly lube.     I would try pushing, pulling, prying, on different areas underneath the truck and see if it changes the vibration. If that does not help then I would bust into the skid plate fix.

    Maybe you can place a strip of rubber like a bicycle tube or some other form of material between the tank and the strap. Pushing on the skid plate stops the vibration but by pushing on the plate it might be pushing against another area of the truck causing the noise. What I am saying is that...

    Check the torx bolts around the gas tank door. I think they are a #27 torx. Check for rocks lodged between the cab and the bed. Go under the truck at the noise source and check anywhere rocks might be lodged between any surfaces. Sorry I can't be of more help but that's the best I have right...

    Your truck is running smooth and sounds great. Maybe some slight wobble in the pulley but not of any concern in my opinion. Belts look fairly tight but may have room to be snugged up a bit more. Snug the belts up some more and re asses. Good job.
