Virginia doesn’t require state inspection for antique vehicles. Our two senators are Tim Kane and Mark Warner. Antique tags in Virginia is a good thing. I don’t pay taxes on my deuce and can drive it for occasional pleasure use.
Is this a politician that thinks he is doing good and trying to help the hmmwv crowd? But doesn’t realize he’s hurting the other mv crowd? I live in Virginia. I have a m35a2. The antique tag is a great thing. It does allow for occasional pleasure driving. My question has stated above. Is this...

This is just a thought. I know that manhole lids and storm drain covers are cast in India. I do realize that those aren’t high precision compared to this bracket. I’m wondering if it would be Possible to get a company to manufacture it over seas.
Let's keep this thread focused on remanufacturing the bracket and finding a substitute master cylinder. To many brake threads on this forum that just lead to dead ends.
I'm not trying to sound negative. But 30k is a lot of money to spend on a no thrills truck. I would buy one at an auction, once the new cool factor wears off you can dump it and worse case scenario break even. Just my view on a hmmwv.
I personally feel your aluminum wouldn't stay flashy very long. Here on the east coast, the aluminum body would corrode and start turning white with oxidation.
If your going to try something like that, use a LMTV bed. They have aluminum drop sides. The deuce beds rot around the stake pockets and the front. Not the best designed beds in my opinion. You will have a hard time finding a deuce bed in decent shape.
