Good afternoon,
To answer your question; It is that simple. I live in the greater Houston TX area where the summer temps were exceeding 100+ degrees daily. I daily drive my HMMWV at 70 MPH highway speeds and have had no problems with the transfer case since...
I bypassed my 218 transfer case cooling loop due to the "Vampire" leak. Can anyone tell me of an actual case where their transfer case got damaged after disconnecting the cooling loop. I understand the potential possibilities of damage. That's not what I'm interested in hearing. I have heard...
Thanks for the information. I currently have the 218 transfer case. I was told to upgrade to the 242 Transfer Case. The upgrade seems like a lot of work to include new drive shafts as well as costly. Would you happen to have a pic or a part # for the cooling loop that you are speaking of...
I confirmed that my transmission fluid was entering the Transfer Case. When I removed the Transfer Case fill plug you can see from the picture all the transmission fluid that came out. I ended up disconnecting the transmission lines from the transfer case and looped the two lines together. I...
"LIGHT TACTICAL TRAILER COMPLETE"
I finished the trailer today. 1st few pics "Before" Following pics are "After" the completed project and ready to go for a test drive to test new Surge Brakes.
Wednesdays' project was rebuilding the Surge Brakes on my Light Tactical Trailer. I replaced the master cylinder and the Break away cable. I really only needed to replace the Push Rod on the Master Cylinder but a new Master Cylinder was only $136 so I decided to replace the whole thing.
"DAMAGED TRAILER"
When the military removed the generator from the trailer the operator hit the drivers side light box with the fork truck. This was the only damage to trailer at purchase. Repaired light box and all electrical. I was able to heat the aluminum and shape back into place. Came out...
"LIGHT TACTICAL TRAILER"
I just picked up this 2002 "Silver Eagle" Light Tactical Flat Deck Trailer. It's in really great shape!! This came from Ft. Hood in Killeen Tx. It had a generator mounted on it. The Military removed the generator and sent it to the Mexico border to build the wall. The...
Looks like you did a great job!! Did you by chance install the fender support brace? The brace is designed to strengthen the fender when installing the Deep Water Exhaust. I believe I paid $115 on Ebay. I attached a pic with the brace installed from inside the fender.
"Battery Hold Down Bracket"
"Potential Electrical Fire"
I posted this Battery Hold Down picture earlier. I wanted to thank all who advised me of the potential electrical hazard. I turned the batteries 90 degrees. I tried to modify the original HMMWV hold down bracket. I notched the sides of the...
I appreciate your question although the rock rails were purchased mainly for the removable step so my wife can get in a bit easier. I actually am in the process of ordering the pictured grab bar rails to mount on the hard top roof. She or I should have no problem getting in once everything is...
Contact "Jeremy Johnson" by way of "Messenger" on Face Book or on Ebay at Humvee/Hummer Rock Sliders HUMVEE m998 m1045 m1123 m1097 hummer H1 ( jeremy 51307)
My Christmas gift to self. I would like to give a big shout out to Jeremy Johnson. I ordered his "Rock Rails and Removable Step". I received rails and steps on Christmas Eve. Starting with the packaging as you can see, Top notch. These were powder coated. They came from N.C to Texas without a...
That's a great story!!! It just happened to me the other day for the 1st time. I was backing out of the driveway and noticed the orange extension cord coming with me. Thankfully my garage door was open and the extension cord pulled strait out of the wall plug.
