I have had Deuces (A2s and A3s), M809s and M939s either towed or driven to our farm over the years. I usually go through them checking out the truck.
The last one was a very nice M939 and I checked it over and it was fine. Owner picked it up and got 40 miles before the alternator pulley broke...
Now THAT'S a welder.
If it were at a rally it would be counted as a military vehicle as it was used in the Army. Just like flight line vehicles used by the Air Force.
What's wrong with the 3208? They used them a lot in state trucks from International. My Brother took the engine out to sell and it is a good running engine. Too much engine for a loaded dump truck as at auction we saw snapped axles and I almost did the same thing with a load on my Brother's...

I can only hope that Doug can come back next year and catch another ride with someone.
