Matt, the tire could wait for Aberdeen. Besides, it may be the down payment on an inspection or pick up somewhere near you someday.....
Dave, I offered a smoker but could bring a grill, too. as far as game I've got some duck and goose left but no enough for a herd. I have a lot of vacuum...
Well, looking out from here, any dates will work for me. I suspect I'll bring a 6x6, either one of the deuces or the M813A1. I'll have the S-280 camper in whatever truck I bring so I'd want to hitch a ride with someone for the trail ride.
Chris is hoping to have his deuce mounted water...
Hello, Cris
Welcome to the site. I have never worked on the A3 series so I can't advise you. You'll find that you get a much better response rate if you title your threads so the as much of the key information you seek is in the title. A lot of folks won't open threads if the title doesn't...
Welcome to the site. I've never turned wrenches on an A3 so I can't help there.
As far as contacts for support on the trip I'd use a new thread. You'll find that concise titles that get your point across without folks having to open the thread to read a rambling title will get more reads...
Alrighty then. If anyone needs a place to fix a truck or to crash we live about a 35 minute deuce ride from the fairgrounds and have a 6000 square shop building. It's a farm so there's space for camping or RVs and we have some empty bedrooms. If someone wanted to stage a vehicle early/late or...
Bobby, I see your new so welcome to the site.
You'll be a lot more likely to get a response if you delete this thread and start a new one with a title that is written so that the core part of your question or comment is visible on the main page. A title like "Barstow inspection needed!" would...
You will be by yourself. The show ends Saturday at 5PM and the parking lot has to be empty early Sunday. There are rarely more than a dozen or so vendors and individuals still there at dawn Sunday and they are all packed.
Most of our sales dollars come from collectable uniforms and field...
Ed, Chris and I have usually brought a 35' camper and for some years we've brought a 24' box truck. This year we're traveling lighter with a commercial pickup, an M1008 and two M101A2 trailers. we and Brant Messer are in Blue R 4-7.
Stuff I'll bring:
A mint 2 burner medical stove complete...
Hello Andy
All the M809 series trucks were normally aspirated. The NTC 400 will fit but you'll have quite the project on your hands to do it. The bell housing is different, you'll have to fabricate mounts, an oil pan, air intake stuff etc and change the oil pump pickup location. The NTC 400...
Mine starts my M813A1 just fine and we live in a pretty cold area. As OPCOM wrote, let it charge the batteries for a while and it'll spin the Cummins right up.

I'm not familiar with the M7 but we have some WW II era army and navy generators in our collection and the three phase ones are all "wye with the neutral not brought out"
As for using the big radial arm saw from a carpenter's trailer to cut slab wood, I'd go with a chainsaw. It would be easy...
A few years ago I was thinking of buying a used "freight expediter" style box cargo truck with a big sleeper and was looking for information the least expensive way to register it for use at shows and was given this explanation by a NYS Trooper who was a sergeant on a commercial vehicle...
"Ditto" to cjcottrill.
Open gear/cable lube attracts far less dirt and crud than oil and is the lubricant and preservative of choice. 2 cans will preserve the cable for a year or two. The stuff will penetrate into the core of the cable on it's own so don't think you need to really wet down...
Here's your correct tire pressure info...

Note that it's broken down by the weight on the axle and whether it's single or dual tires.

OK, that's easy to do.
The value of any item is not established by it's original cost, it's utility, functionality or any other factor but one. The value of an item is determined by what a willing buyer will pay for it at any moment in time.
As a proportion of original cost and functional...
