Just put a 6.5 passenger manifold on my m1009. It was a pain. But I suggest using studs rather than bolts for the hard to reach ones. That way most of them will line up with the manifold in place. I jacked up on my bellhousing to get a little more clearance. I know some people will remove the...
I did change mine maybe two years ago. I think part of the issue is that I angle most of my drive train to correct pinion angle. Once I get it running I'll see if it's truly rubbing on the frame or not and go from there.

Hey everyone. Sorry if these few things have been discussed I haven't seen any threads going into depth. I just finished installing a 6.5 exhaust manifold and a hx35 turbo. All I have left is exhaust and crossover. I'm interested to see how some of you have done l fabricated these. I know the...
Long story short I have a m1009. I recently put in a 14 bolt and np203/205 doubler and twin stocked the 205. I had some problems with the 203 slipping at first and managed to fix that. The 205 wasn't slipping at all through various test drives and coming back to it after a month, i fixed a few...
I have a m1009. I swapped in a 14 bolt in the rear and changed out front hubs on the front. Same calipers. Now I barely build any brake pressure. I changed the master which didn't help, and it seems like when I plug the rear line at the master it builds pressure just fine. I originally was...
Yeah maybe I can repurpose it as a Jerry can holder or something if I have to. What do you suggest? Something where it pivots off the d Ring mounts, or just latches to them?

This is my first real fab job. I welded up a tire carrier and mounted it to my stock bumper while welding in some reinforcements. Which in hind sight wasn't enough. So I have way too much bumper flex with a tire mounted to the bumper. My thinking is weld a long piece of square tubing either...
Okay so batteries tested good. Truck was running fine today. I disconnected a handful of stuff I wired a few days ago, but both batteries were staying around 12.6v. a day or two ago my front battery was dropping .1v a second after start up. I was trying to get my generators testing too but after...
Yeah I got my original ones tested but not the ones I currently have in there. So I'm just gonna get everything load tested one more time and hope thats the problem
Yeah and I did get a load test and one was going bad. So I put a brand new one in with the same problem, and my other battery was reading like 7v, so I put in another 650 for testing. Yes, the cca is way too low but it was all for testing. I'm gonna get them load tested again today to play it...
And I forgot to add, I definitely think somethings going on with the charging system, but when one battery was reading a bit over 12 and the other was 11.8, I wasn't getting a crank, and hardly any power in the cab. After a few seconds holding the golowplugs it sounded like a relay ran out of...
Okay so everything looks stock to me. But both alternators have ground, as well as reading voltage. It might be worth mentioning I couldn't ever get a tach to work with that tach wire, so I put in a w terminal and couldn't get that to work either. I'm re testing everything now. Is there anything...
I'm not great with electrical, mostly learning as I go. So what does the exciter circuit do? And how would I test it? When I get home today I'll retest everything. But the fact one batteries staying at 12.6v while running and the other draining immediately is what's throwing me off.
The battery...
I have my original batteries, but both were reading low so I threw on the 650cca ones mainly for testing. But now my good batteries are charging no problem off of the truck. I tested my alternators yesterday just with the regular multimeter test. Regardless of which alternator was disconnected...
So I've been having a handful of electrical issues on my m1008 for the last few weeks and I can't figure it out nore find a solution anywhere.
The biggest issue is starting. Both batteries are around 12v (ones been around 11.8 most the time) but I'm not even getting a crank most the time...
