Goodyear and Michelin make brand new tires - the Goodyear MV/T and the Michelin XZL. The military uses them widely. You just need to find someone that can and is willing to order them. One of the guys I just did an ECO hub install got a new set through a family connection that owned a tire shop...
No - but all you need is 4 wires and some connectors in principle. This page has the J1708 pinout:

Then you need an RP1210 compliant adapter such as the Dearborn Protocol Adapter III or IV. Laptop and software.
Swapping out my small windows for something more suitable to it's new life. Got the door window installed and the passenger side wall upgraded. I'll be masking the glass and going over the outside with CARC so they look factory. Might figure out some drop down canvas covers for them as well.
Nope. ABS, if equipped (A1+) is behind the cab by the hydraulic air pump.
Passenger under dash area lives the TCM, PCU, and the solenoids for radiator fan clutch and power divider.

I'm running one of these units but I got it off ali-express for about $450 shipped - about twice the lead time due to slower shipping. Same thing though. Actually works pretty good. Have to crimp your own...
Hate to say it but instead of guessing you *could* build the interface cable, download the free software from Dana and know what the problem is *for sure*.
Do the A0 trucks have ABS? I have the Wabco software too - identified a dirty wheel speed sensor on a truck with it yesterday. Huge time...
Not a fix per-se, but I carry a stop leak product in my rigs just in case. In particular it's a product I've used with success on many occasions. I work on Subaru's quite a bit and they had a problem with some external head gasket seepage back in the early 2000's. This culminated in a service...
You will need it. And if you plan to air condition it.... well it's a challenge. With the truck in direct sun, both awnings deployed, and running two AC units (I have a 24v unit, and a 120v unit) I can keep the habitat around 72-74 with the outside ambient temps around 100 degrees. I can't...
I used 6 gallons for the inside of the M1079 van for the thermal coating. I didn't do the sound insulation - just thermal. 2 coats on the walls and ceiling. It comes in 2 gallon buckets.
I've installed on two trucks (both M1088's - one with a 17' habitat and one with a 24' habitat) with 3.07 gears and both owners are quite happy. You'll be fine.
Lizardskin is amazing and is actually a very well engineered product that is used heavily in commercial applications (fire trucks, ambulances, etc) and by the US Navy, etc. It's just the small motorsports division of Mascoat:

I used the Lizardskin thermal coating on the...
IDK - I hated working on HMMWV's in the Army. There's no access to anything, they stuffed the engine up under the firewall and they were unreliable shit heaps. Wouldn't own one except to resell it. The Amsoil filter is very large and I can't think of any space you could easily stuff it other...
I know what's up with his speedo - I forgot that he already had 3.07's that the speedo had never been corrected for and so when I took the PPM and divided it by two I didn't account for the 3.07 gears in addition to the 2:1 reduction delete. So I just need to make another small change to his PPM...
I started out with 32 ounces (1 quart). Didn't seem like it was enough so I added a second 32 ounces. So I've got 2 quarts in each tire. Antifreeze is 9.4 lbs per gallon so that works out to 4.7 lbs of anti-freeze. The CTIS valve and hoses and mounting plate is about 2.5 lbs - though at a...
I have it in my tires. It definitely helps. I do *smell* it when airing down so it's likely going to disappear over time. Not having any issues with the CTIS or seeing any liquid. I played in the sand at 20 psi on Saturday for over an hour and never had any problem. Aired up to x-country and...
