Always feared I would do this and today it finally happened...yanked on the throttle instead of the kill lever when I meant to shut her down. Fortunately got it pushed back in before the revs got too high, but it sure woke me up.
Old gas goes great with WMO. I emptied the boat and the mower (both 2010 fill-ups) into the fuel tank couple weeks ago.
If you're just running diesel I would add oil if you add gas.
I've searched this site and the -20 TM and can't find info on how to remove the hood hinges. The forward half of the hinge is obvious but it looks like the nuts holding the rear half of the hinges are up behind the firewall? Any tricks to reaching / removing those?
It's a rusty area on my...
Funny, I mounted my floor brackets today too.
Don't say "clips." :deadhorse:

I recently replaced my fuel pump. My suspicion is the old one hasn't been running right since I bought the truck; I don't think it harmed anything, but now that I'm running WMO I needed a working fuel pump. Olympic Controls, $225.

Well, at long last the compressor belt is tightened and the fuel pump replaced...finally got to go for a test drive running somewhere in the range of 65%-70% WMO. Ran like a champ and quiet enough to carry on a conversation (ok, yelling conversation) with my daughter. Love it!!!
When I was planning to do the external pump I was thinking of using some kind of "project box" around it and painting it to match the truck. Both for protection and a neat appearance.
One more thing I noticed: the new pump is considerably quieter than the old one. I wonder if I didn't have a non-working pump all along, and just the IP suction was drawing fuel, and then when I went to 60%+ WMO the viscosity was too great for that...
Success! She is purring like a 40-year-old camo kitten.
But...did I mention it rained a lot while she wouldn't start? And did I mention that our other vehicles, parked next to her, are white?
I'm off to the car wash...
Here's the latest. As stated above I've gone off-script with the bows. They were originally one piece all formed together and I've cut them apart, shortened them and installed them (well, 3 out of 5 anyway). For parts that were never meant to be used, I think they are turning out pretty good...
