Your a perfectionist. I like, good job. Those shocks look like original factory and the Steering damper also? Also while your at it replace the sway bar bushing, not looking so good.

The threads on my bolt when removed looked brand new. I don't think they are stretch to yield bolts, I could have easily re used the bolt. I purchased a new bolt prior to removal, but I would have had confidence re using the old bolt. I never even thought about not using the washer.

Just go back towards the rear of the seal but not next to the machined surface. The point of the puller will pierce into the seal allowing it to be pried out.

I assume you have a seal puller? Place the seal puller on the backside of the seal lay the other part of the puller on wherever you can next to the snout resting on the opposite end of the seal, and give it a good pull. Your a strong man, it will take some pulling but it will pop out. you might...

Chevymikes invention is a great idea, I like. The set up you have made up will work just fine. I really like the design you came up with also. You have created some extra bulk with both of those attachments. You might have some issues with room to swing a hammer. Get under there put everything...

Best position for jack stands on M1008

If I remember correctly under the frame towards the rear as far as possible. My M1008 is stock height and it was still a long stretch. Get some blocks of wood to reach if needed on your truck. Wherever you place your stand try to keep them out of your work area as far away as possible.

A damaged seat cover turned into a positive. Life has it's silver linings. I cover my seat and backrest while parked at home to help keep the sun from premature detonation. Buy your sister in-law a box of candy and a card. Maybe you'll be able to work in a few more projects.

Rutjes is referring to the bolt you need to install the balancer. The puller to remove the balancer is the one with the blunt tip.

Your damper is shot. Good decision! Have someone hold the pulley while you remove the bolts. Take off the fan and shroud. Quick and easy job to take it apart. Do it right and get it done.

I did the Dog Head modification 8 years ago. Never had any problem since. I have never heard of any problems that anyone has had with their Dog Head conversion. I have heard of a lot of problems that people have had that have not done the conversion. It is a simple project. Do as you wish. Your...

Good job on repairing your issues. Thanks to all the members lending their support to you. Change the balancer and you will be glad that you did. It is an easy job. CUCVRUS is right, take off the fan and shroud and your golden. Your speedometer bounces at 45 MPG might need a look. If you...

Just get a G.M. brand balancer from rock auto. I bought one and they are great. There is no way anyone can state Rock Auto sells inferior parts. Show me the proof and quit scaremongering.
