This is a cargo truck, and i am pretty sure the air dryer has not been serviced, i did crack the air bleeds on passenger side, very little air came out, this was just released from service and is now owned by a museum. I found a rebuild kit for under 150.00 and will try that
Have seen several posts on this subject on not building air, I have a M939 that i removed the air discharge line from compressor (brass line) and could feel air pushing out of compressor (rules out bad compressor), installed new air governor and truck will not build air at all. Possible that the...
has anyone had a leak that drips on passenger side of bell housing, i have new IP pump, spin on filter but valley is dry, filter base dry, looks like rear of cylinder head area (passenger) from what i can tell.
Anyone with parts available for swap txt me @ 832.579.4801
I have a transmission and T/Case Trans Adaptor with 27 spline input shaft already, all other parts i need. Thanks for info!
I am kind of debating if i should either just swap the gears to 3.73 since i do no off roading, just towing my boat. The swap would be great but it sounds very complicated and hard to find the parts. the TV bracket alone i couldn't find, every salvage yard with a 6.2 had trans removed and...
If you have a manual built this will be as good as the starter relay procedure! i have the NP208 but from the sound of it i need
1. 6.2 TV for a 700r4
2. 700R4 K Code trans
3. Overdrive gear indicator for 700r4
4. Flex Plate for 6.2 diesel 700r4 appliation
Can anyone provide a list of what would be needed to convert a TH400 to a 700R4? Are the 6.2 T.V hard to find? If anyone has parts for sale let me know as well. I was going to go swapping of ring and pinion but sounds like 700R4 is easier.
Thanks
Has anyone exchanged the gears instead of the replacing the transmission for more highway speed?
I noticed the cost of transmission exchange vs ring and pinion (3.73 or 4.10) and wanted to know if anyone has had good results in gear ratio exchange over the 700r4 swap. The parts are hard to...
I upgraded my M1008 with:
1. Napa 4908 filter base with FF105 Fleetguard Fuel Filter
2. Napa AC60G Starter Relay
3. High Torque Starter
4. Air Tex 8153 Electric Fuel Pump
5. Centerville MFG NATO CAN to Civilian 7 Pin Trailer Harness For Towing Boat (Money Well Spent).
6. AC Delco Mechanical...
Well i took the truck around the block a few times and let it sit over night, started and then all of the sudden like it ran out of fuel laterand now it looks like it loses prime. I triple checked all lines no leaks but crank and crank syndrome. Is it possible that the return line check valve on...
Well i did get it figured out and i had a massive air pocket, what i had to do is put a electric pump from a gallon can, crack the filter base, crank engine, then crack lines. I may have to adjust timing a tad, i get a little white smoke out driver side pipe and not the passenger, but could be...
well i was able to get the mist out of the cylinders, however still no fuel seep out fuel lines. This is odd. My first 6.2 in-depth repair but i have worked on Yellow engines for years and still can't this one resolved!
Going to try pressure in tank and maybe get a racor primer filter base set...
I have new solenoid installed, and connected pink wire. no start (solenoid clicks)
I did replace the line to the IP from filter base (1/4),
I took top of IP off and installed clean filtered fuel into the top of the housing
Going to try putting pressure next, waiting on plug to arrive.
I have a WIX 33109 which is a cross of Fleetguard FL105, i am using the same filter base as the link that was posted, i do not have a air bleed port but i did install a hose barb and pulled fuel out the port at filter base, problem is i think its not getting past the filter over to the injection...
Has anyone had a heck of a time getting fuel system bled after a replacing or converting to a spin on fuel filter?
1. Replaced injection pump and removed old OEM filter type for a spin on fuel filter.
2. Truck has a new mechanical lift pump.
3. Removed pink wire at pump and cranked, no fuel...
I have it off but local shops here in Houston are quoting 800-1100 to rebuild. I did notice my advance was about 1/8 inch and was going to put the 4524 same or should I cut it half (advancement that is)?
