I got myself stuck last week.
I've been on a self recovery hunt since.
Getting chains, ropes, shackles and figuring out a way to mount my new 12,000 LBS winch.

How common is for the fan to run almost constantly?
While driving my new (to me) 998 at highway speeds (pushing 60+MPH) on a sunny, 70° day, the fan kicks on about 30-45 seconds after it shut off from previous cycle.
I don't want to know what it'll be like in a 100+ degree weather we have here...
Do you have any pictures?
Do you also have a way to mount it to the front?
Where do you normally store it?
I've been looking at the 12VDC winches but have not been able to get past the 12v supply, battery drain, etc.
Is there a way to swap a motor in those and make it a 24VDC unit?

Driver may not be able to since the suction of the mud and the branch across the driveline make it difficult to break free.
Get another unit there, a winch point or a helicopter -- problem solved.

No way we're going to post that here. Then thieves would know how to bypass the system.
You'll just have to try it until you figure out the sweet spot.
BTW, this works the SAME on all versions that are supplied with the cable lock.
