Joe, I went to a shop that makes new hoses of all types (All-Hose, don't know if there are any in your area) and they quickly fabbed up a completely new hose for me made from braided nylon, which will last far longer than the rubber it replaced. The cost was reasonable, but I don't remember...

If you go looking for different wheels, make sure you get the wheels that fit Dodge and/or Ford 8-luggers. GM trucks had a smaller-diameter hub opening, so GM 8-lug wheels won't fit on Dodge nor Ford....but you CAN use Dodge/Ford (pre-1998 Ford that is) 8-lug wheels on GM trucks. ETA: FWIW...
