Constant on solenoids are also used on electric winches. They are very bulletproof. I use them on all my performance motors. Even at 220 they will start right up. A constant off will not. Good unit.
I have to agree with Kenny. Its 19 degrees right now here and my deuce is nice and toasty with the heater on. I love to put the top down and is real easy with the soft top. I also agree with buying a solid running truck, no matter what the options it has. A friend owned my truck before me so I...
rad
That price is wholesale. Its my labor, but like I said we had it out 3 times. Oh well I will pull it this week. This stinks. I found 14 11.00-20s for 500.00 around the corner on 5 ton wheels. Well they won't do me any good without a radiator. Mo Money. Who loves ya deuce!
I was using the truck around the yard today. Went up the road 2 miles and steam poored out of the hood. The antifreeze was pouring out of a leak in the core again. I had it out and repaired three times before. They want 375.00 to recore it. Anyone else have a similar problem with their radiator...
towing
Kenny, I almost knew you were going to say that when I typed it. Back then a friend had a 46 willys w/38s. Flat towed from NJ to Utah and back no problem on turns. Tracked right behind him like a trailer.
towing
Kenny, One problem is the angle of your towbar. It has to be level or slightly pointing up from the vehicle being towed to work correctly. When at that angle your pulling down on the bumper putting more force on the tires trying to track. In my poorer days, I towbared my CJ5 on 40 inch...
turbo
Sorry Ken. It was a cargo truck. We got there sat. I stopped and told Bjorn that i loved his articles in MV mag and to say thanks. You guys looked tired, so we went back to the sale. Looking foward to meeting you guys next year at Aberdeen. Mark
turbo
Thanks for the input guys. When my son and I went to Aberdeen this year a whistler deuce was driving around. When we heard that sound my son said, I wish are truck sounded like that. So Iam going to change it over. Thanks guys
turbo
Thats what I need to know. Exactly what other parts besides the turbo itself ? Whats wrong with loud. I like the way my deuce sounds. But I think the whistler sounds cool to. Thanks Mark
My truck runs great, but I just love the sound of the whistler turbo. I can get one cheap. I have the big turbo now . What all do I have to change to go to a whistler? Mark
heater
When you install these the slave is easy. Unbolt the plate and bolt in the slave then hookup the cables. The heater I bought the kit. Had everything but the plate. Not a hard install, except drilling the frame. Mark
axles
I forgot to mention around here the 4wheeling trucks use deuce rears under their trucks with 55 inch tires and no weight. Those axle shafts are not as strong as you think. We break them front and back all the time. One guy even broke a rear one with 5 ton rears under a 79 F250. Pics on...
