    Deuce Rear Hub Runs Hot

Not with the stock inner seals, you won't. They are not designed to keep oil in (that is why gear oil that leaks past the outer seal runs down on the inside of the rims after a shortcut through the brake drums. The inner seals keep dirt out and grease in, that's about it. If it was as simple as...

    Help with identifying PTO

If anyone needs a PTO for a 5ton 809 series, I know where one is! :-) Good price, too!

    Deuce Rear Hub Runs Hot

It is easy to go a bit overboard, especially when one is somewhat detail oriented. How hot is "hot"? Here is my suggestion: If you go for a high speed drive, about 30-45 min, (highway is best so you are not on the brakes all the time) and then check the hubs and you can leave your bare hand on...

    Finished the center console

SgtC, Toby - would you mind putting up a sketch with dimensions? That would be helpful for people that want to do similar things!

Counted teeth. 21 on the coarse big wheel 26 on the finer big wheel Does that help in identifying whether it will fit onto a Spicer? Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk

    Help with identifying PTO

Thank you. Well, the person I bought it from appears knowledgeable and said it was a rear facing Deuce PTO. When I saw it, I was not so sure, and looking at pictures did not really help me.

    Help with identifying PTO

I got what I think is a rear facing transfer case PTO for the deuce. It's a Chelsea/Parker. Can somebody identify/verify? Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk

Armor armored headlight IR lens replacement

The issue: You have a cool headlight but it has the dark IR glass lens. You do not really drive with IR goggles on, so the feature is useless. You want a clear light instead. This is the dual lamp version. See the dark IR lens on the left: (Picture not mine; thanks, interweb) The lens is...

    Knuckle Boom Crane on M35A2C

    Oil spraying out exhaust

There are 2 bolts and 2 studs on the exhaust manifold. The steel hardware, after many many cycles of getting really hot, oxydizes and rusts solid. Tricks to loosen include acetone/ATF mixture (soak and let sit), AeroKroil (soak and let sit) and anger management issues involving a torch or...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Ordered tintable Raptor Liner, their army green tint, and etching primer to do the cargo deck. I am not too concerned about exact colour match, I just don't want it black. I need to cut 18 4" holes into the drop sides and weld the cargo hook pockets in first.

    Oil spraying out exhaust

That is interesting. Can you give more info for the less turbo initiated?

What did you do to your deuce this week?

We have them on one of our fire trucks and they work just fine. They operate by using the slight pressure differential between the air system being full and when brakes are applied to open and expel water and junk. I had manual drains and they worked ok, but after the second time both cables...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Put the canvas winch cover on (Jatonka) and installed two automatic air tank drains (type DV-2).

What did you do to your deuce this week?

    1) Yes, camo works (you do see the truck, right?) 2) This is 5 of our fire station's rookies in the back. I took "Queen Lola" to the aftermath of a house fire to load dirty hose and equipment. Our rookies are not yet allowed on calls so they enjoyed the ride and actually being on a fire scene...
