Nice job! I just changed all my M936A1 lights out to LED. Plan also to add the front clearance lights similar to yours. Still working on design for the 3 rear, deck winch and crane are problematic
Jeff , French Camp only does load outs on Tues thru Thurs. You should call (209) 983-0175 and make an appointment with Leina. They will need your ID info 2 days before your scheduled load out on your first visit. Are you planning on driving your truck home?

OMG, aaahhhggg, LOL. I debated with my kid over popping one final bid. I was going to pop one more time at another $150. It would have been my 4th 5-ton, but first M925. I recently won a M923A1 soft top Red River 2010 rebuild from Nellis. I was considering flipping the hubs on your M925 and...
Shoot I was just there Thursday recovering our M923A1. The GL dudes are fork lifting all of the trucks around the yard. My truck was a 2010 perfect rebuild, that is until the fork lift dude crushed the support brackets for the new A2 fuel tank and the passenger side tool box. I was lucky the...
Thanks wreckerman for the tip. We did blanket the line with a 100# chain midway and I was down below the wrecker deck winch controls, my kid was laterally 50 yards away behind an oak tree. I would appreciate directions to the vehicle recovery TM. My truck came loaded with a complete BII...
Update: My 31YO son and I spent the afternoon on our backs under the wrecker. Our hearts sank when the shear pin appeared intact. Closer exam noticed the round head of the pin was backed out about 1/4". My kid put some pry pressure on the head which popped right out leaving the long shank of the...
Thanks guys for the replies. I'm starting to breathe a little easier that it might be the shear pin. I'll be climbing under the beast this morning for more diagnosis. Reviewing the TM's last night I could not find where the shear pin was located, either internal or external. Rangereter's...
Thanks for your reply. We've been all over the TM's, I printed the ops TM and we had it out during operation. This was the first run on the deck winch. We've run the front winch and crane a number of times w/o issue since we bought the truck last June. We had the truck tethered to an oak tree on...
During a winch pull using my M936A1 heavy duty rear deck winch attempting to pull a bay laurel stump, the winch stopped under load and then released the drum into a partial bird nest. We were able to unwind the bird nest and rewind the 100 feet of cable back in as long as there was minimal load...
Yep, I get 62 mph at 2000 rpm with my M936A1 on 16R20's on a flat 2 lane just before I start up the hill......downhill scares the heck outta me pushing 38k.
Absolutely a MRAP, wont fit a 5-ton without cutting the wheel centers for an adapter. Sell the wheels to a duece owner who can then hook up with peashooter's adapters. Keep the tires, they'll still work if you have the hutzpa for tearing them down.
