I thought about the same thing. Luckily mines in a shed at the bottom of a hill with a house to help block sound from the road, but you can still hear a low rumble.

Yeah I did an opcheck this past weekend on my 802. Tan it for a good hour at 80% before bumping it up slowly to 100%, quick bursts to 125%. It did great.
I also have 135 gallons of stabilized diesel just waiting to be burned. That should last me just a little while... [emoji16]

I had the same issue. I’ll tell you it’s a pain to clean up. In order to do it right, you might consider pulling the fuel tank, which is no small task.
The fuel strainer is best cleaned by using a propane torch to burn the gunk off and then hitting it with a small wire brush to remove the ash...
In the end we are talking about a mechanical diesel of old technology. Timing is set. I’ve run mine and had it bog down several times, never harmed the motor

Maybe it’s sticky. Mine wouldn’t connect when I first bought it. Had to hit it with the handle of a screw driver. Then I took it apart and cleaned it.

So the float for the gas gauge doesn’t do anything except the gauge. The low fuel light feeds from the funny S shaped pipe with two floats, particularly the lower. But if I remember right, as long as you DONT have the low fuel light then that shouldn’t be your problem.

It’s simple. Put fuel in the tank!
I had the same problem recently where I thought I had a big problem because it wouldn’t crank and the pumps wouldn’t come on. Turns out the fuel tank was completely empty and it must have some sort of safety feature.

My dad has two of the odyssey batteries on his 803. Each put out 1200+ CCA. I can tell you that his machine starts incredibly fast! Like I think the starter can spin the motor faster than the engine normally goes.

I cleaned the crap out of the bottom of the tank when I first got the machine. What happened is I had some untreated diesel go bad and a sticky waxy substance covered everything inside the tank including the fuel probe and floats. Honestly I’m surprised the machine still runs because it had to...
Well the reason I was trying to use it was to use as much fuel out of the tank as I could before I pull the tank to do maintenance on it.
