Lower hose outlet looks ok. My father said this can happen if you have a bad mix of coolant. This stuff was super green. Looks like someone put straight concentrate in it at one point in time.
As far as the TM goes, I’ve looked everywhere for part numbers. Maybe I’ve got the wrong TM?

So while tearing into my 802 to replace some leaking fuel hoses, I noticed that the top of the thermostat housing showed signs of leaking right at the hose. Well I took the hose off only to discover that the housing had been corroded away.
Now I need a new thermostat housing and thermostat...
So the 802 that I’ve had for a few years as a house backup is in need of some repairs. Fuel tank needs cleaning, rubber fuel lines need replacing, and it seems to have really bad blowby. Pull the dipstick while running and it’s shooting mist at ya. Now I noticed in the -24 that the pistons move...
Thank you. That was my concern was the flared fitting. Luckily I have spare 1/4” fuel line and hose clamps lying around. Power company just reported 3 out of 4 customers in the area are without power and the freezing rain keeps falling. This is crazy weather for this time of year down here in...
Cold snap came through with TONS of ice. More than half the city is without power, and out towards the country where I live almost nobody has it. But I got my 802!
The problem is one of the rubber fuel return lines coming off the rear injector is oozing fuel. It appears to be dry rotted. It is...
So I’m about to be stationed in Japan, and for those unfamiliar with their electric grid, they use 100V 50Hz power.
Now I consider myself above average when it comes to understanding electricity and electronics. I know that most modern electronics with wall wort transformers or built-in...
Geez! How? Where you finding these? Got family trying to buy one but they are going for crazy money noawadays. Bought mine a few years ago for $500 and apparently I was super lucky.

So I use PRI-D for the stability and lubrication part, Lucas fuel treatment for added lubrication, and Bio-cide (I think that’s the name?) to prevent algae.
I have a 55 gallon drum that’s going on 3 years. I check it twice a year. No deposits, no gumming, no floaters. Literally the same as...
With a lot of effort! Haha
I had a neighbor that had a tractor and bucket. We used a chain that reached 3 of the 4 lift points. Super unsafe and I thought he might drop it a few times, but it worked!

Fuel pump module. It is the little box on the right lower side of the unit, looking at the fuel tank. Try unplugging it and jumpering pins 1&3. If aux pump turns on, then it’s the transistor inside that burned up.
Technically this part is considered a consumable and non-repairable part. But it...
Nice. I just did the same thing, however it was because I wired in a second fuel pump off the same module.
Thought I may need an external pump to pull fuel from a drum 15’ away and push it through a fuel/water separator and filter before going into the unit. Not only was that unnecessary, but...
Look at my post number 102, from 3/13/2019.
It should have everything you need including common part numbers for the diodes.
Not to be rude, but please think about wether you have enough electronic knowledge and skill before attempting this. I’d hate for you to reverse a diode and fry a...
Let’s also not forget, if you’ve been around this site for long, you know these generators don’t like to run at small loads for long periods of time. They are prone to wet stacking. You should try and run them at a minimum of 50% with periodic loads above 80%

The first thing I would suggest is buying a clamp on multimeter so you can get a true sense of how many amps your house pulls with various appliances on. They are not very expensive, maybe $40 from the hardware store. You just clamp them on over the L one and L3 wires coming off of your...
