    You have done the correct things up to now. (and did not purchase a vehicle without identity or chassis numbers). So, before the repaint, have it STEAM CLEANED, then under sealed and painted. And Show that documentation to the importation people. BOTH sides of the water. good Luck.

    I just searched and found a picture of my first deuce. (from the E.U.) Which I purchased in Holland and drove back to the U.K. I sold it, bought it back, sold it, bought it back..so many time over the years..It (the truck) Is 'home' (again) right now.

    yes I do tend to drive 'low and slow'..but Is 40mph all that slow with the types of roads we have over here?....And..All them " Roundabouts"!//Doughnuts to you¬. You know what?, I think I will drive the M45 Saturday and have the lad take a video. So have a butchers (Look) at it when posted.

    Some good pointers. I drive my vehicles with respect. 1800 rpm for changes. 2000 rpm cruise. All my trucks have the radiator muffs on and closed. Start up And shutdown are under 'pressure'. I feel happier, comfortable with that procedure. https://youtu.be/IBE5Bg67UeE

    I have some 'spouts' I purchased at an event, The seller said "they fit any can, U.S. or British". I was was sceptical..But guess what?. They sure as heck do.

    Latest Find: Half Track

    That is a fantastic find. And a nice easy project to work on. It looks like mine did allmost when we pulled (saved) it from a river. It took me 3 years to rebuild it. (It was an International though), The white was (is) a much better vehicle.The machine shown has some really rare and original parts.

    You can scrub, clean, wash, coat, add stuff, kick scream! whatever..Deuces ARE smoky beasts. (No matter the what!). You should try a five tonner..or (not) follow one.

    Distributor 180* out? Check #1 and rotation of the wiring order. (is the firing order sequence going in the correct (direction of)) rotation?.
