    Deuce dash cluster

They probably cut them out for the radium in the gauges.

    Pre-Oiler

Or a Cummins 250 alternator or a fan. Water pump maybe and though it is arguably more important than the first two they only used one belt. Doh!!

    Pre-Oiler

I feel the same way about pre-lubing a 45 year old engine as the way I do about the magical matched belts. Not worth the time, effort or cost.

Carnac is on the way east-4.16.2015

CARNAC, that must have been one heck of a bump to break a serpentine belt.

    Hello from Interior Alaska

Funny, I took my 813 to a birthday dinner yesterday and one of the neighbors came out to talk about it and said he was from Alaska and wanted to get one to take back with him. :-)

    Headlight problem

Yes, if you power to the assembly when you first turn it on then the problem is inside the light itself. I never looked that close at mine but I don't think they are serviceable. This morning I drove my XM813 to work in the dark with the new LEDs. I could finally see... ;-)

    Headlight problem

Can you check power to the LED assembly when it is failing. It sounds like faulty LEDs but I have only been running mine for a week.

    Considering 5 ton!!

Did you mean the oldest ones are closer to 50? The young ones are only 24. Barely old enough to drink. ;-)

    Considering 5 ton!!

Get an M35A3. Auto and air assist steering. My 5-ton will beat you to death, run over you and beat you some more. The ride sucks even with a springer seat. Maintenance? When you step up to the bigger trucks you really step up to serious weight with anything on the truck. If you have health...

    Cummins 250 belts

Okay, all the belts went on today. The part numbers are in fact the ones in the thread posted by CGarbee and verified by me. I was changing the alternator anyway and since I was missing a belt I put all 4 new ones on. 73M819 is correct, you DO NOT have to remove the fan or radiator. It was...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Finally got my civilian alternator on using the TM America bracket. Since I found I was missing a fan belt I got two new alternator belts and two new fan belts on and adjusted. Then since Gimpy got there as I was struggling getting the belts on he helped me finish and then the one thing I have...
