I didnt really know about that. Can someone point me to a good link of a thread that shows how to do that? I would hate to have to switch the tires again (they are a real B), but maybe I will if I have to. Thanks!
Got the driveshaft lengthened 11 3/4" today, and got one more wheel/tire done. Tomorrow we'll install the DS, and the 2 rear wheels so we can set the bed on, and finish up the rear frame area.
Looks like I will running the stock wheels with the dish 'out' in the rear, and regular in the front.
Yeah, that sounds like alotta $$$ to me, too. But it is new, and all he had to do was pick it up 3 days later. I like your way better.!
Good idea on the axle- I will tell him that- thx.
Here are some pics of a Deuce converted to a dump that one of my customers had done. The conversion cost him about $4800 complete.
I looked it over today and it looks REALLY good!!! He works the heck out of it. Hauls asphalt, wood and rock all the time. He has been using the front winch to...
Hey Will- Where exactly is the campsite? I will be coming from the Slash X side, but probably most of you guys will get off I-15 somewhere?
Are people "camp" camping, bringing trailers and motorhomes, or ???
Looking forward to it! I am hoping that I can get 2-3 Deuces out there.
This will be my first 'get together' with MVs, so I am not in charge, but I would assume all MVs are welcome. How 'bout it, guys?
Your little guy can go anywhere a Deuce can, so dont worry about that.
And WELCOME to the forum!!!!
I'll throw my .02 in-
That load was HEAVY for that truck, but I am glad you got your truck ok. Nice looking Deuce, too!
I have a 30' gooseneck that is 14K gross that I have thought about putting a Deuce on, but always decide against it.
I also have a Zieman that I haul my little dozer (10K...
I bid on them and will have them for sale if I win them. I think they are the perfect big tire for a Deuce with no mods. Or even bobbed.
But its the first time I have done a "sealed" bid. I have not heard if I have won or not.
Can anyone say what the procedure is for notifying the winner in...
Are you one of those guys who are always right??? LOL!
I found this guy at a custom offroad shop (sounds familiar, huh?) about 10 miles from me with a BADDA$$ U- bolt machine and he whipped them right up. I want one of those machines!
He didnt charge me too much, either.
you really helped...
Made some progress today. Yesterday, I gave myself a headache trying to figure out how to attach the 105 springs to the axle. Talked to Offroadfabworks- got some great info-thx! This is what I came up with--
I was trying to use parts that I already have without spending too much $$$. I was...
I feel special!
Hey Thanks for the pics- looks great!
Be sure to post some pics when you get the bed on! (please)
If anyone wants to see how I mounted 105 springs on a bob deuce, check out the Deucey Bobbie thread (slight hijack!)
Thanks, Darrell for the help.
Oops! Sorry, my brain skipped right over the 5 ton part! Probably because I just did the 14-20 the other day!
I actually just installed one tire to see what it looked like. But it doesnt look too bad, so now I will do the other 3.
If a 5t rim is wider- then I say do it.
I think a wider rim is better, but... Here is a pic of one I just put on the other day--- it has a tube in it.
And for price comparison- I sell 'like new' 14- 20 or 16-20s for $200 each, and more used ones for $150. Any price below $200 is a good price.
