The kit I linked above is designed to go to where the fording selector switch is located, of if you have the switch then just below it next to the diagnostic port works also.
I think it was about 15 feet of cable total to install in that location. It's all negative cable (unless you installed...
not without some wheel spacers. Usually a 2" wheel spacer is used. Some people get away with no spacers, but when I tried it on mine it was rubbing hard against the parking brake cable.
battery cables should be 2/0 I believe.

it looks like the M416A1 had the surge brakes (I checked the TM for that), and if the internet is to believed then they started production in 1978.
The regular M416 (not the A1 version) just has the parking brake.
It should be pretty obvious looking at the trailer tongue whether it has surge...
That was the last item in my earlier post on the things to check first before starting to tear into it.
It happens to everyone. Just visit the HMMWV forum some time and search for all the people that can't start their truck that end up not having it in neutral and it will make you feel better...
That would be the Marine Armor Kit (MAK) if you are referring to the M1123
So the "supplemental armor" when it comes to doors is basically a layer of sheet metal that attaches over the outside of the normal X-door. It still uses the same hinges as the regular X-doors and the soft doors.
The...
might just be the camera angles, but to me it looks almost like they have lowered it a little bit.
or comparing the two pictures, I would guess that the suspension has quite a bit of adjustment to increase or decrease height and clearance.
First thing I would recommend you do is get the batteries tested to make sure they aren't failing. Always a good idea to check out the batteries any time you are troubleshooting electrical.
if it had the snorkel intake and exhaust, that piece is replaced with a solid cap to keep water from creeping in if submerged, so that is where the concern comes in. Without knowing if it had the snorkel or not, no way to know which rubber cap is installed (and even then it's probably screwed...
oddly enough, my M1123 from Yermo had the duckbill drain valve on the air filter housing rather than the solid one for fording. So it could go either way.
Still, it's probably a good idea to have the driver cover it before they drive up here. Tape should work as long as the surface is clean...
I think the 20 bolt are an aluminum 20 inch wheel, in 17 inch as opposed to 16.5.
Found it

the valve you unbolted is the pop off valve. once it reaches the pressure on the valve it will spill out/blow off any excess, to keep from blowing things up. If you unbolted it I would expect air to come out the hole with the compressor running.
Were you asking about the pressure relief valve...
That is 119 gallons PER CONTAINER before it becomes bulk.
For diesel, you can have a semi trailer completely filled with 55 gallon drums, and not need a placard. But a single 120 gallon tank and you're illegal.
per the article:
Whether diesel is regulated largely depends on the type of...
M101 is a 3/4 or 1 ton trailer, the M353 is a 3.5 ton trailer. At rated full load it's about 4 times heavier overall.
Not sure if the brake unit from the M101 would be up to the task. It's originally a Jeep type master cylinder (and still used today on things like forklifts that have...
the HHT also gives more headroom. Not usually an issue in these trucks, but sometimes it's nice, or it gives room up above your head to install more stuff like stereo or camera system displays or whatnot.
I think the thought that was somehow the power would go from the negative of the first battery and use the 12V stuff for the electrical to find it's way back to the positive side of that battery.
I have no idea how that would work anyway.
All I know is, with my battery disconnect between the DC...
Part of it depends on your end goal.
Slant back is great if you have a turret install in your future, and have $10-15k to spend now (along with another $5k when you want to do the turret)
Slant back does tend to leak like a sieve though.
You're looking at a day or three to install it all...
