Update At the VAMC, mostly ready for show.

How much did those plates cost? Some time in the future I'd like to put the real thing in instead of the "replica" steel I'm using now.

Update Update: almost ready. Painting is almost done, same with the trucks name. Vic 1 installed including positions for 4 gunners/NCOIC. Still missing one power cord. I'm on the lookout for a cable that goes from the battery to the MX 7777.

Vic 1 install in progress. Hooked up the radio so it looks correct. Maybe one of these days I'll find a working radio. No pics today, progress was in the little things. Installing wires, clamps, correct power cables. I'll post tomorrow with pics if I get the painting done. I figured out how...

Update, 9 May Got the final panel (3ft x 4ft) in place and now I'm ready to paint the new armor plates. Sorry no pics tonight. I'll post some tomorrow.

War Wagon update Update. All armor is in place, just need to finalize the access panel. .50's are on their mounts and all radio parts are ready for install. Big job now is painting the new armor. Got to get it done quick, AFD is Saturday.

Coming back from So Cal, you can take the 5 to Sacremento, then cut east to I80. That'll take you to Salt Lake, which is where you head east toward Evenston WY. Time from the I80/I84 interchange to Laramie County is about 6 hours. I25 takes almost all the way to Billings, if I remember...

The engine came from the local forest service maintenance yard. They got rid of tons of stuff including 6 or 7 engines. I grabbed two and some other stuff. I'd like to have a hard top but can't afford one. I'm focused on my Gun Truck right now. Trying to get it ready for Armed Forces Day...

Hi, FWIW, I've got a XM-211 out back waiting for me to get off my tookus and get it running again. It was a junk yard save. It's in okay shape with only a couple fender rust spots. The engine had antifreeze in the oil so I'm thinking the engine will need to be torn down and given a good look...

Radio install complete. Next up is Vic 1 and wiring. Radio doesn't work, just a box full of broken parts.
