    Hydraulic safety

This has not been spercifically addressed yet, so I figured I would throw it out. Hydraulic safety is a huge concern with M/V's. Besides the obvious hazards of losing brakes to leaks, many of the vehicles have hydraulic rams and actuators on them. Properly isolating the various components...

    Deuce fuel leak....WHERE IS IT?!

Never ever use your hands to check for leaks. If hydraulic injection occurs, at the least, they will cut the affected area out, the next step is amputation of the finger/hand/limb. Worst case scenario is death. If you have a system under suspected pressure, use a piece of paper or cardboard (I...

    Serious injury of a deuce......

Update: We have just about everything to replace. I just need to hear back from my local parts guy. On another note, his sense of humor came out again. He called the guy he got his stickers from and told him (imagine this with a cajun accent): "Hey guy, your stickers aren't worth a damn...

    Deuce with "digital" camo

Another reply today: "Lookin' good though! Have you tried it on a different vehicle that doesn't shake that much?" My reply: "If I can get the voltages right and not screw up the electronics on my truck, I am thinking about installing one on my Dodge. It has a lot stabler electronics...

    Serious injury of a deuce......

He is, but he has his sense of humor back. As we were opening the hood, removing covers etc, he kept telling me "Now don't scratch the paint!"

    OD Work Lights

Not wanting to hijack the thread, but..... That **never** occured to me! . Actually, I messed up the other day. When we were leaving the campground, I did my walk-around while building air, and part of my walk around is turning on ALL the lights. Headlights, check. Blinkers...

    Deuce with "digital" camo

Got another message from the curious man today... He writes: "I cannot understand how the exhaust smoke disappears. How come the army has not developed something like this?" I replied: "I've been working on this system for about 15 years. The reason the smoke disappears is because it is...

Frank, I will definitely let him know about your offer. Many thanks! Looking at the damage, It looks like his cab flexed a little, radiator support on drivers side is bent and we don't know what damage was done in the engine compartment as his heater intake is in the way for a good inspection...

What's the advantage of 24volt system?

Dunno if this has been addressed, but the voltage/amperage relationship is inversely proportional. The higher the volts, the lover the amps. Amps generate heat, which is bad in an electrical system. On our subs, we have tethers 10,000 feet long, and in order to not burn the fiber system up with...
