    Deuce 3 Battery Setup

I don't have the link, but I have three batteries in my M109, two for starting and one for the 'house' power. I have a hmmve dual alt setup on mine. Has worked well for years now.

Sounds good Craig! Thanks Adam! it is an older house that needs work, but the property is perfect, and cheap!

    SC meet and greet

Dang, sorry you can't make it PB. Mike, I think chips and soda are covered, paper plates, napkins, and cups would be much appreciated! We just made the deal on the new place, right up the road, closer to the RR tracks, easier for large trucks to get in and out of. Almost TWICE the acreage at...

    SC meet and greet

Only a few more days. My wife and I were hoping this would also be a sort of 'congrats on getting the house' party, alas the owner thinks the foundation bricks are solid gold and won't budge on her price, and the home is worth far less than what she is asking. So it will be more of a final...

I've got plenty of wood, our fireplace was down all winter so I have a stockpile that needs to go. Thanks for bringing some soda and the offer for the wood.

    My first MV!

Mike, the hole on the Pass side is where an electric horn would go. In most deuces it has a screen tack welded over it. My 1967 M109 had an electric horn there, but it sounded aweful so I put a boat horn I had on. The black out lights are easy to come by...

If you are planning on coming, please post up, so I have a rough guess as to how much food to buy. And if you want to offer to bring anything, post that up too! Less than 2 weeks!

    My first MV!

Sweet! Nice looking truck! yes, there are always tons of little things and upgrades you can do to them. Then when you think you are done, you buy another. Then a jeep. Or an M37. A trailer or two, maybe a generator. Oh, and a tent to go to rallys in, etc. It can get out of hand quick!!!

turbo kit from eastern surplus, anyone have one?

We have Cummins 290's in our 1952 locomotives here at work. I've been into them, they are the same as my NHC 250 but have the dual fuel line and turbo. No other real differences, except maybe the pump being turned up a little bit over a stock 250 pump. I've been through the manual too, and all...

Where did that tree come from?

yet another visual to make you think twice when loaning equipment! We will be 'ribbing' Ron for years over that stunt!!!

    T-72M1 Finally Made It!

You just weren't talking to the right people. I got a guy a quote to move a deuce water purification truck from CA to NC and it was only like $4200.

Landed my first M37 in Aberdeen

Rusty, Sorry to hear that. I hope everything works out for you! Very nice work so far on the truck. Keep fighting.

    Armor Headlight Issue

With the broad number of similar issues, I would suspect this was actually the case. I highly doubt that the huge number of 'defective' bulbs would have made it out of the plant. My money would be on the way the bulb is secured in the house. That ring tightens down pretty hard on those bulbs.

    2013 Haspin Discussion Thread

LDT is out on the ground with the transmission. LDS is sitting next to it. As long as I don't wind up doing a frame off resto because I keep seeing things that need attention or replacement, I will get the M109 back together again for Haspin!

    M816 Boom Jack value?

I'm going to make your day I have a set of poles and feet that came off my M543A2. I'm right down the road from you. The poles are rusty but can be pulled apart. I'll take $50 for both poles and feet.
