Mike, the hole on the Pass side is where an electric horn would go. In most deuces it has a screen tack welded over it. My 1967 M109 had an electric horn there, but it sounded aweful so I put a boat horn I had on. The black out lights are easy to come by...

With the broad number of similar issues, I would suspect this was actually the case. I highly doubt that the huge number of 'defective' bulbs would have made it out of the plant. My money would be on the way the bulb is secured in the house. That ring tightens down pretty hard on those bulbs.

LDT is out on the ground with the transmission. LDS is sitting next to it. As long as I don't wind up doing a frame off resto because I keep seeing things that need attention or replacement, I will get the M109 back together again for Haspin!
