    M129a4

Here ya go Jeff. There is a wedge top and bottom, and two roller latches along the side. Shuts very firmly! If the pictures aren't clear enough (the site software greatly reduces the size, and thus quality), PM me an email and I'll send full size pictures. I zeroed in on the detail bits, so...

    Hello from Dublin, Ireland

Mark, after a weekend in the sun in Texas, some time in Ireland will be a welcome respite! They say you don't go to Ireland for the weather. :) (Except in August, perhaps, my sisters are over now and say the weather has been splendid). Dieselnatalie, you are indeed just up the road from my...

    M129a4

I have an M129A4, but on the M126 chassis, so it has regular military 11.00x20 tires. Mine is a 2009 build, never issued, still has the drill shavings on the floor from when the light fixtures were installed. Has all the tools in the tool box, still with labels, all manuals, including on a CD...

Picked up a xm1144 guided missle trailer.. Anybody ever seen one ?

Congratulations! I saw that one when it was for sale, thought it was really cool. Glad you're going to save it in its original condition. Don't forget to show us some pictures when you get it fitted out for the parades. [thumbzup] Cheers

    Hello from Dublin, Ireland

Greetings from a former Dubliner, born in town (Hatch Street) raised in Castleknock, educated at Belvedere. Moved to the US as a teenager. Still have a house in Castleknock, where I intend to be in May. Mark, firmly planning to attend that show with you at the Curragh, and finally make good...

    What do I have here?

I don't see where this was actually clearly addressed. The M103 is the nomenclature for that type chassis. With a specific type cargo bed on it, it becomes an M105, (or less commonly, with a different bed, an M104). It is not unusual to have the data plate say M103 on an M105 trailer. Same...

    Changes in Forum Editing?

Now to muddy the waters - for me, I can edit most posts, but there are a few here and there that the "edit" button just isn't there at all. Using Firefox on the home PC (I can't do this stuff on a phone!). One I did an edit, but it went in as a new post instead. I'll see if I can find that...

    M200A1 Tire Size

As Gimpy said, those are 10.00R22.5's. Cheers

Need help to identify a V100 part?

V300/600 is entirely possible, there were several turret options for those, including some big ones! Yes, definitely Cad-Gage. I wasn't clear above, the 10237 in the part number indicates Cadillac Gage, so even if their logo hadn't been on the tag, you could still identify it as theirs. Cheers

Hydraulic repair Trailer TM * pics added*

The mood struck me today, so I uncovered the markings on my HSTRU trailer. It was marked- 1CAV 615ASB HSC832T JDTZ0 D0015. So it belonged to the HSC (headquarters supply company), 615th Aviation Support Battalion, of the 1st Cav on Ft Hood. Cheers

Need help to identify a V100 part?

That is definitely not a V100 part. Everything in the V100 is manual (ie hand cranked). As NDT said, it is from an armoured vehicle, probably a tank. Cadillac Gage make turret control systems for tanks, etc., amongst other neat stuff. I did a quick search on the part #, didn't get anything...

Tip for Cleaning Up Faded Composite Light Lenses

That Novus 2 is great stuff. I initially started using it to clean up the lenses on light bars some 25 years ago, then tried it on MV tail lights, works like a charm. Cheers

Need to install nato 12 pins on 404 swiss for m101a2 trailer

Yan, in addition to what I sent in PM, here is a wiring diagram that might help. It is for the 105A3 trailer which has side lights, but they are on the same circuit as the tail-lights, so just disregard that part on your 101. The wire numbers should be the same on all US trailers. Note- 37 is...

    Convoy light dimensions

Those Federal lights come up for sale pretty regularly, and sometimes for pretty good prices (read - cheap!). There is (was?) an ad in the classifieds for a single Mars light recently. Cheers

    Show us your Military Trailers

My HSTRU (Hydraulic Systems Test and Repair Unit). Built in 1996, it is on an M116A3 chassis. Taped inside were shipping documents from Iraq to Ft Hood. Nice to have a bit of its history. :) Cheers

    Convoy light dimensions

Just measured a Federal Signal light ( that happened to be sitting by my desk, I didn't even have to get up!). Model is MS-51317-03. 28v. It came out of a complete military convoy light kit. At the base of the housing, it is 7.5" across. The width at the lock ring for the lens is 8.25"...
