    Stupid Question about Highway Gears??

I can't image that fuel line would be hard to source or in short supply. Nothing special about the LMTV lines, as you know. There are a half dozen hose shops where I live and I have them made all the time.

    FMTV Dog Ramp

You can reduce the angle or length by adding folding/locking feet. Elevating the ground end with a small step could be an option.

    Big, Scary Truck

Just that if they think that *tat* is a big truck, "hold my beer" (the underlying motif there being that my truck is far larger). ;) Seriously though, I do get "is that thing legal to drive" all the time.

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

    Thanks, found it.

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

The OEM seats really didn't bother me. I was never uncomfortable in them. They seemed to be more of a "suspension-type" than my A0's have but that could just be perception. The Pacifica seats are firmer and I was hesitant to install them. And the OEM's have better lumbar support as well as...

Who Has Installed Pacifica Seats w/Heater?

I tossed my seat in today. They are heated (though I won't be needing that in S TX but perhaps someday). Trying to sort out wiring. I know it has at last one set of leads going to some sort of cable release (that I have clipped at termination).

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Tossed my seats in today. Did two different mounting methods to see what works best. I have short legs, so after I did the passenger side I realized I wanted the driver side lower (anything above the center hump just feels like a reach to my stubby little appendages. The first I used 2" angle...

    What is it?

Here's a quick video showing what I mean. Sorry for the poor production values and lack of bikinis. *and I meant to say "brake pedal" but hey, gas pedal/brake pedal/all the same, right? ;)

    M886 Conversion?

There's a sweet Chevy build out there I saw the other day. If I can find it I'll post it here.

    Stupid Question about Highway Gears??

I'm not in the market for gears. I'm just answering the OP's question. Or letting the community answer it. :)

    Stupid Question about Highway Gears??

Sure. But I'm going to farm the bits I need off it first. I'll be happy to ship what I get off it before I send it to the scrap yard. Or I may just pull what I need and let someone roll the rest home with them. I've never understood people selling stuff who won't ship. I see ads all the...

    Stupid Question about Highway Gears??

Agreed. I drove an old Winnebago in the 70's when the speed limit was 55. So chilling down the highway is no thing to me. Would I spend a couple grand to get the RPMs down? Sure. Would I piss away $5-6K to get the RPMs down? Nope. I've really got no dog in this hunt, but the OP asked...

    Stupid Question about Highway Gears??

The problem IMO is that when someone like the OP asked, they are usually fed the same line of BS: "supply demand", "Capitalism", etc, etc every time. So they just figure they have to pay the price. And nobody ever speaks up about it they just tell people "that's just the way it is, bend over"...

    Stupid Question about Highway Gears??

End of the day, it's not a democracy... but it would be an interesting blind poll to just ask truck owners out there if parts are ridiculously priced. I be the VAST majority of the owners would say yes. And they would be correct IMO even given overhead and a "reasonable" profit (I wonder how...
