    Worst Trip Ever

Average Joe, your willingness to move forward under undue stress and mechanical failure is a testament to your "can do" mentality. I, would fall short, I fear. I hope sometime soon you are able to actually "enjoy" your truck and all that goes with it. I think you have earned that, to say the...

The history of the truck is interesting. I forgot all the re purposing that transpired during that area. That everything was considered viable for the war effort. Different times and different mentality. I realize my experience is severely limited, so I am following along. Thanks PB for savin...

    1941 K18-C GMC Recovered today

PB, that has to be one of the "weirdest" lookin trucks I've ever seen. It sort of grows on a person though,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, sort of like mold. LOL I wonder if that was truly "cutting edge" when she was designed and built. Really, I am avidly awaiting the re-manufacture! "Ice cream...

Possible it is zinc chromate paint? Often a yellowish tint? Primary use I am familiar with was in aviation, but could have been applied to wheeled vehicles. God bless, Tony

First recovery from Ft. Leonard Wood, made it home

Thanks for sharing! You had some EXCELLENT help via cyber connection. There are people on this site that have forgotten more than I will ever know about these trucks, and usually, they will help a person help themselves! "Expect the unexpected" right? This was a good thread showing how things...

    New to me '86 M1008

Yepper, those are the "normal" things that get changed. Has the truck had the "doghead" relay change yet? If not, another thing I would recommend. Information for it can be found on-site. Interstate driving has to be a tad slow. LOL God bless, Tony

The Chieftain Arrives! Or the travails of moving armor...

Like others have mentioned, THANK YOU for sharing your armor with us! That is an amazing site sitting in that corn field. Possibly a video of her moving about and engine sounds? Glad she is home with you, but I am sort of disappointed in a "professional" moving company that couldn't get the...
