What wheels are on your humvee?

Those 38" should fit no problem, stock is 37" You might not be able to run full size tire chains with them though, if that is a concern. If your suspension is good (and it's not uncommon for the springs to sag on these, so check them), you can do up to 40" tire without a lift. The reason...

    16 Exhaust Pipes Group buy?

I had one on my truck, ended up being more hassle than it was worth to me. made the truck wider so it couldn't fit through the 4x4 trails as well. Made the BEOD I had on the back of the truck harder to access. left trails of black soot down the side of my truck whenever it rained and water got...

    Jump starting using 12v systems

yeah, just hook straight to the terminals of the battery and you should be fine. Equalizer is definitely the best solution.

    Jump starting using 12v systems

If you don't want to go the battery equalizer route (the best way to go with the 24V systems without the 12V center tap), at least do a 24-12V converter. But you should also be doing a full charge with the NOCO on the rear battery every month to make sure it's brought up, even if you have to...

    Starting question?

Follows the same theory as the $100 hamburger (for those that don't know it, it's the excuse a pilot might use to go take a flight in their airplane)

    MEP 804B 805B Unbalanced Load

The only reason I can see for buying the 804 over the 803 is because, being 3 phase only, the 804 usually has a cheaper price compared to the 803. That's the only reason I've ever really seen for people buying it over the 803 (provided they knew what they were doing)

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Went for a drive; found a rainbow.

Isn't there a classifieds section for this type of posting?

802A has lower than normal voltage, how can I correct this?

That is what I have heard. I have no firsthand experience with his products, but I have yet to see an angry review or comment about anything he has.

802A has lower than normal voltage, how can I correct this?

yup, first step is always verify where the issue is, because military gauges are mostly there just to give you an idea of what it's doing, and you only worry when it's different than you are used to. The TMs for this unit are all here...

802A has lower than normal voltage, how can I correct this?

have you verified with a multimeter that the voltage gauge is reading correctly?

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

So on Saturday drove over to a friend's house to help put soft tops on the 2 M1123s he just received after many months of waiting. I found it interesting that they both had the MAK uparmor data plate on them, but they had 2 different sets of springs in them. One had the welded rear perches...

    Jump starting using 12v systems

So for some reason, even with a battery disconnect, my batteries were dead this morning (after sitting almost 2 weeks, voltage under 4.5V each battery) I figured I'd post a picture of how I set up the 12V jump boxes, as some people are more visual in their learning (and words can be confusing)...

Whining noise after replacing time delay module.

I agree with Action. When I was looking at my own fan issues, it was easy to tell when the fan was engaged vs just spinning. When engaged, if you rev the engine and there is any loose debris on the ground nearby under the truck, it will get blown away/moved by the air from the fan. The fan...

    Headlight Help

If the ground harness seems to fix the issue for you, that means you really need to go through the truck and clean up all your ground points. It's there to help, not replace, the original ground connections.

6 micron or 2 micron fuel filter

2 or 6 micron should both be finer filtration than what was there before. These things practically sip fuel compared to what these filters would normally go on, so I see no reason not to go with the 2 micron if everything else is the same.

M116A3 - First Overland Trailer Build!

Not trying to be rude here, so please don't take this in a bad way, but let me get this straight. You bought the A3 version of the trailer which costs more because it has a wider bed, wider axle, Now your plans have changed so you want to modify it further than originally intended. Your goal...

    FULL COVERAGE INSURANCE?

Progressive commercial policy, liability only. Value is what I told them it was worth. No claims so can't say how that would go.

Starter bolt backed out and fried the starter

No worries, you never can tell sometimes and I've dealt with more than one piece of equipment in my time where the issue lay in something that got added into the system in an odd location but nobody bothered to mention it was there.

Starter bolt backed out and fried the starter

Not to sound rude, but just a note for anyone else that reads this thread and has similar stating issues. Gamble, I didn't see anywhere before this in this thread where you mentioned that you had a security device installed in the electrical system. When troubleshooting any type of electrical...
