1986 CUCV M1009 Decade after being wrecked.

Same deal and situation in New York, no such law. Though I had ripped a perfectly good pair of pants at a convenience store when a customer decided to back his truck in by the entry door blocking 1/2 the sidewalk. I muttered couple of off colored words and said they should have a law like that.

I was at Ft Drum last fall for a pre-view and they had several M1078s being readied for shipment oversees. These were pretty beat up; broken windshields, missing headlights, mirrors, torn or missing cargo covers, mid 90s vintage, non running, close to being scrapped. I asked about them and I was...

Smoke at temps below 195 degrees

It could be a bad head or head gasket. As it heats up things expand and seal the leak. Are you losing any coolant?

    m1009 Rear Window Troubles...of course

I replaced mine in 2011 and used black urethane windshield caulk. I had to leave it uninstalled overnight for the caulk to cure. Just fill the channel with the caulk and slip the glass in. After it cures you trim the excess with a razor and your good to go. And don't forget to wear rubber gloves...

Standard HMMWV antenna for cb antenna?

As cjtroutt said, a MX-6707 works fine. I had to shorten the length of my antenna by 8"-10" and nailed the SWR on my Cobra. I also get great radio skip on partly sunny days.
