Thanks everyone. I'll spend today getting everything lined up. I had the PTO shimmed at .040 and all was well. So when I get the new housing I get to do it all over again.:naner:

Cracked flange caused a slow leak. The PTO isn't to hard to take out, so I'll probably find a good PTO housing and swap everything out rather than weld this one.

Gimp, I'll give Dave a call tomorrow. I feel more comfortable with an undamaged housing..........depending on the price + shipping.

Sad ending. Twenty Three of the RAAF F-111C aircraft, are interned at the Swanbank landfill in Queensland. The Australian Govt. deemed it cheaper to bury the aircraft, rather than recycle them. Six F-111C aircraft were lost to accidents, and several aircraft were awarded to aviation museums in...

Pulled the PTO out of the Deuce for repair. Hope to have it to the welder tomorrow and back ASAP.

Thx doghead, would any kind of wire welding (tig or arc) do an acceptable job. All the welders I trust are back in So. Cal., so I'm going to a new guy here tomorrow. He builds trailers, so I hope he's good.

My Deuce has a crack in the flange on the PTO housing that's causing a real slow leak. Looking for some advice from the membership on the best way to repair a crack like this.........Thx.
