picked up a couple cabs/hoods to split with a friend, as well as a 4bt Cummins up in PA. 8 hour drive to NC and the truck didn't miss a beat. Best recovery truck I could ask for. Even got a thumbs up from a couple GrandMas in a mini van among others.
Did you bleed the pump properly? There is zero reason to loosen fuel lines to bleed, there is a bleed valve (screw). Chances are your a) Like said above sucked up crap from the bottom of the tank, or b) most likely still have air in the system from improper bleeding.
Just a thought, but those pusher boxes are kind of tough to use if you don't have bucket arms to go up at the end. You will run out of real estate very quickly at your push-to location. Whenever I have used them they are always ridden up the bank at the end. Unless you have a different plan...
You will be 6 " or so too tall. Most cans are 9'6" in the front which is perfect for a standard truck with a 48" fifth wheel height. The 931a2 is 48 at the frame rails. Plus the height of the fifth wheel.
Glad to see you finally grabbed one. Looks great. Mine does 75 very comfortably on the highway , don't be afraid to run it. I tow 3/4000 lbs routinely with no issue at all. Probably just needed a little tongue weight. Congrats!
Ha! You sound like me now. All I've learned is to never waste a trip without packing and bringing something.
740 miles each way......every other week now for almost 6 months. Oh well it will be worth it in the end.
And yes 98G, we ALL have too much stuff......
