Adam, the set of G177s tires I have is just what you need. They are the identical tread pattern to the picture I posted, although those tires are not mine. The spare tire has never been on the ground. The rear eight tires are probably 95-98%. The front two, while very nice, have VERY, VERY...
Those tires are not mine. I just did a quick Internet search for a picture since I do not have any good pics of the tires on my trucks. That guy may not have any dogs. I have two German Shepherds. The female is fairly friendly, but the male does not like people! Seriously, though, are you...
The Goodyear G177 has what I would call an aggressive highway tread pattern, but I would call it more highway than aggressive. ;-) They are commonly used on the M939 series trucks that were converted from NDCCs and where ABS was installed.
I wish you weren't on the otherside of the country. I have two really nice M105A2s that I need to move to free up some space. Good luck in your search.
Go with one of the older trailers (i.e., not an M105A3). While I prefer the A3, it will cost you more. NONOTAGAIN did a great job of listing out all of the nice features. If you shop around, you'll find an M105A2 cheaply. They are good trailers.
Have you considered contacting Joe Young directly? Although he rarely shows up here anymore, he still is a member so you could PM him. I bet he'd help. He is a heckuva nice guy and a personal friend.
The Goodyear G177s are fairly aggressive, ride well and seem to wear well, too. I have them on a couple of trucks. Admitteldly, they are 5 tons, but they will work just as well on a deuce, but you'll lose a bit of power with the larger tires.
After reading all of the manuals that I could get my hands on multiple times, one of the first things I did when I bought a truck was conducted a search of the Internet (GOOGLE, MSN, YAHOO, etc.) search on M35A2 parts. I found all sorts of companies that had parts, among them Saturn (specified...
Josh, that was only a prototype. They also tried to sell it to the civilian market, too, unsuccessfully I might add. I know this for a fact because I know personally the guy who bought out BMY and I have discussed this truck with him and actually laid my hands on one of the brochures. I agree...
I read here that some of the big dealers were in on these. They might have customers overseas who purchased trucks from the US. These tops would be worth double or triple what they paid.
I don't know if they were correct, but they were also on my M35A3. Yes, they work just fine with the rubberized ropes. I had a cargo cover on my A3 and it fit fine.
You WILL NOT find a winch kit for the install. Save your pennies and ante up. In the years that the A3s have been coming out, I have never seen a parts truck with a winch. Heck, you rarely find A3 parts trucks period. That is one of the drawbacks of owning an A3...parts that are A3-specific are...
I have recently started my CUCV down to about 15 degrees and it started up quickly. It ran rough for a few seconds until it started to warm up, but it fired off almost immediately...by immediately, I mean I had to crank for about two seconds. I have never had a CUCV that started this nicely...
HNDRSONJ, thanks for the suggestion. I will check to see what the parts run. I know Tom...he's a great guy...but I never thought of CSI. Thanks, again!
I second what BUGEI said. I have never bought any gears for a 5 ton tranny, but I've purchased everything for a deuce tranny from Memphis. With all that said, have you considered just purchasing a new tranny? Dave Newman in Philly has new transmissions in cans. That is where I would...
Does anyone know where I can find the key for an Argo tachograph that is in my M917? Guys have said that I should be able to pick the lock, but I have been unable to do so to date and I don't want to force it. Thanks in advance.
