Mark,
There is a low air sensor on the end of the air tanks right behind the passenger side toolbox/step (I believe there are two of them, one for the primary and one for the secondary air system). You will see a wire coming into the sensor. This is your problem.
The mufflers are getting...
They are cool. I just wonder how roadworthy they are. I would be nervous driving them at 50 MPH with that loader and backhoe! My brother was an Army Engineer. His unit used them. He liked them but said they were frustrating because they did everything and nothing well. He also said they...
My recommendation is to email info@govliquidation.com and ask them to confirm receipt of your EUC. That way you are covered in case they say they never got it (default situation). I do that anytime my EUC does not show up in my account within three days. Good luck.
Yes. I did this same thing on an M929 dump that I owned a while back. It had 1100s on it and I converted it to super singles (1400s). Sorry it took me so long to respond. I only stumbled upon this post just now.
Better to just put the chock blocks in the tool box unless you don't mind scuffed painted. If you drive the truck much, they will rub on the CARC...that is if you care.
Try to find a 3/4 ton trailer with a crank up landing leg. You will thank me later when you have the trailer loaded. Most don't have it, although I have seen some come up with the crank up landing leg. They are very rare from what I have seen.
Bob, I like to think, and I am sure others will agree, that you are more than welcome here. I don't think guys like me or guys who mod there trucks are any more or less welcome to post and contribute to this site. I can appreciate the work put into re-engineering a truck or part. I have...
WEHRING, good job. There are a lot of hurdles to clear to get a truck home. A lot of guys think they will be able to steal a truck by getting it from HI...not true as I have experienced and you can see here.
BEASTMASTER, I have often thought the same thing. The conclusion I came to is a lot of guys are not really military vehicle enthusiasts. Instead, they are big truck or off-roading enthusiasts. There is a difference. Sure, there is overlap, but there is a difference. For this reason, those...
James, either you have something that I have never ever heard of in an M809, I misunderstood your post, you did not describe what you have well, or you are wrong. I have never heard of an airshift in an M809 series truck. John Winslow, Jeff Symanski and others have installed an airshift lever...
The tires that I mentioned are 1100 X 20s. They are commonly used as singles on a deuce and recently have been coming out from the military installed as duals. The Goodyear G177s, Michelin XLs, and Firestones mentioned above are all 1100 X 20s and are used by the military on many deuces (and 5...
