Well the seals for the wheel cyclinders seem to made of unobtainum(sp) go figure. May try the old ones they seem ok. Got some of the other parts cleaned up and ready for paint. Seems it takes longer to mix the paint and clean the gun than it does too paint the small stuff. But they take up so...
The D-day park is a 4x4/6x6 fun park. Lots of trails and they also have a lot of paint ball game there. So lots of "town" and stuff to see.
OFASTS is a FULL AUTO gun shoot. You can rent just about any full auto gun you can think of to shoot. They also blow up a bunch of stuff. Lots of FUN...
The M36 and any other long wheel base truck will have the reinforced frames. It only a "L" shape pice riveted to the frame. The bad part is the "L" is on the bottom, so water and junk can get betwen the frame and this pice and rust out the frame. I would not get an old long wheel base truck...
I've got both M35A2 and M818. If I just want to go on a joy ride I take the deuce. It's faster and cheper on fuel. But I still like to take the 5 ton now and then too.:roll: Uh I didn't help much did I. I have drive both on long hauls 200-500 miles and both bought me home just fine.
Yes you can cut the old one off and replace with a zipper boot.
I like the soild ones better myself but thats just me. I like too look inside and clean it all out and start off with nice new seals. But if I had just done this and tore a boot I'd go with the zippered one.

KsM715 do you have any plans for the part of the landing grear that mounts it to the trailer?? I have one that the nut stripped the threads off when I removed it. Kind of makes it hard to put back on:roll: that way.
