    M817 front hub seal help

I can't think of the size but the axle nut sockets are $15-25$ each at a good truck parts store on the shelf or most any auto parts store can order them. Ther are in the 3-4" range not in a standard socket set.

How hard to reseal/boot front axle??

Make sure you put some sealer on the retainer when you put it back in. I also find it easyer to use a pipe from the other side to knock out the retainer.

    pdf manual for M101 howtizer

The good news is that it is on pdf. The bad news is that it listed as "CNF" what ever that means. So it may not be floating around out there. You can down load the LO and the HR for it. But I don't think that will do you much good, sorry.

    Front axel boot questions?

OK boot tron. Water mud junk and who knows what else gets in to the front axle and "U" joint or the older ball type joint. Don't clean it, don't check it, don't remove the old conaminated grease. Leve the mud water and junk in there. Just slap on a new boot.[thumbzup][thumbzup]
