checking the website today they are out side Dillingham today hopefully on their way to Bethel sometime tomorrow than if weather cooperates and they can get over the Yukon kusko delta. than its a 3 day trip to nome . I'm worried about delays, because there is a bering sea storm brewing, winds out...
well I have a month before the sun goes down again, and I saw the access plate. the deal we got on the starter was well worth it. to have it rebuilt would require shipping to anchorage and likely waiting for parts. the owner will take the old one back to Colorado with him get it rebuilt for a...
I didn't see this any place the duce has straight cut first and reverse gear and the rest of the gears 2 to 5 are syncromesh. push in the clutch than put the trans into 2econd or third first for a moment to stop things moving than put the trans in first or reverse you will find there is no...
in korea ROK used higher reving jap diesels in theirs like Isuzu engines. they fit well and preformed well for being na engines, with forced induction being the standard on modern diesels I would imagine the performance would be stunning even if the engine came from overseas
the load holding valves in your cylinders have a screw you loosen up to allow fluid flow. once you have done that just extend and retract all cylinders through their full stroke. the pump is below tank level it will have a positive pressure on it no bleeding necessary
they were there I was a private back then working on them. a bumper d ring will fit in to them. I do believe the early 10 series tm's showed them as a tie down point for rail loading.
one would have to wonder if the noise is coming off the exhaust side we have a lot of the new vgt's that make a simmalar sound on engine braking I believe it is from carbon build up. might be worth pulling the exhaust side off and taking a look
many thanks for the quick response rick will get ahold of you to arrange shipping and payment once I have your contact info. now the fun starts not being able to tip up the cab to remove the starter. looks like an access plate by the drivers foot it might fit out through.
I would look for a good 6.5 with low miles, you may have swap out the mechanical pump for the electronic pump, also the serpentine belt system. and waterpumps would also have to be changed. along with the flexplate. yours has the 2 piece rope seal crank and the newer 6.2 and 6.5 engines have a...
unless I'm missing something its not that simple every automotive warn winch I have ever had is a 3 wire hook up one wire is a field wire and the other 2 apply armature power for forward and reverse. than you have the motor ground
I don't have it with me I passed on the e-bay info to my customer. what I think sucks is I have replaced 2 holstet turbos with holstet remans and my luck has been better with the china models. I have had real good luck with the cat reman stuff but it is expensive.
as long as Schweitzer's warranty is better than holstets I replaced one on a 4 b last year with in 30 minutes after start up it broke a shaft sitting at an idle. holstet said it failed because of improper pre lube I had to eat it from here on out I will buy my holsted products from overseas at...
that is an hf antenna mount yes they do transmit some pretty high voltage but worse is the radiation emitting from it when in use at full power they can burn you quick especially at the tip of the antenna. that is by the way the reason for the corona ball at the end of the antenna
the early model pcb's with a starter lock out were prone to frying, I used sand t many times to avoid using a to bar to bring a rig home I'm figuring you have a ground issue or a bad control box, the low voltage reading is indicative of a bad ground letting voltage bleed.
to the guy with the noisy turbo you can pull the intake hose, and grab the inducer and move it around see if the bushings have come loose if so you need to replace it I too would like info on your replacement turbo especially if I get a hankering to add fuel for more hp.
