    Simple LMTV battery question

Ok, thanks for the correction. Does the truck all still run on 12V then (except the starter)? Was that part correct?

    Simple LMTV battery question

I'll look for that sticker, when I get it. So the truck is actually 12V (e.g. headlights, wiper motors, etc.), except for the starter?

    Simple LMTV battery question

I just bought an M1078 LMTV, but don't have it yet (it's being shipped to me). I want to make sure I understand the batteries, so I can get it started when it gets here. Are all 4 of the batteries 12V? And they are linked in two pairs in series (12v + 12v = 24, this configuration twice in...

Best source of information for a newbie?

Wow, this article was great. It took me about 2 hours to read it all carefully, but it contains so much great information. Thanks!

You may not have noticed, but YOU are my local collector to pick the brain of, haha. I'm just north, by Longmont! Do we have a military vehicle club, or something, around here? Thanks, and Merry Christmas!

I was already considering a 939 too. I probably need a CDL to drive that? Are they similar in price? What I'm looking for is just toughness and size/capacity. I have been into big offroad trucks for years, and currently have a '79 Chevy K5, with 1-ton axles, 44" Swamper Boggers, 590HP big...

Best source of information for a newbie?

The A3 is slower than the A2? I saw that the CAT engine was rated at nearly 2x the horsepower. What makes it go slower? I like the idea of the single tires. Are they a simple bolt-on retrofit (e.g. change wheels), or do you have to change many other components (e.g. steering knuckles)...

Best source of information for a newbie?

The A3s use single rear wheels, instead of duals? So are they using the same tires as LMTVs/FMTVs? What diameter are M35 tires?

So I see the M35A3 is probably the most "modern". Do people typically go after / prefer those? Or do they shy away from them because they aren't multi-fuel? Are they significantly more expensive?

Best source of information for a newbie?

I really did try to search before posting. When you do Google searches for things like "M35 model differences" it comes up with 100 pages of articles about Infiniti M35 cars and stuff.

Best source of information for a newbie?

I'm interested in getting an M35, or maybe a 5 ton. Overall, I want to learn more about the various trucks, their capabilities, pros/cons, etc., but I don't know where to start. I'm new to the world of military vehicles. I see lots of talk of M35, M35A2, M35A2C, etc. Is there a guide...
