    Swapping a Chevy inline 6...Pertronix 24 volt?

You could just run a ballasting resistor for a 12v igntion. But why the pertronix? Just use a HEI distributor.

modern dual circuit air over hydraulic brakes

I sent Wilwood an email asking if they had any options that would suit the pressure/volume. We'll see what they say. I like the air brake can idea better because we keep the air system for all the air brake trailers. Hydroboost is a possibility, but I'm not sure how you'd make that also...

modern dual circuit air over hydraulic brakes

So the deuce brake system runs at 1800 psi. I know the stock single circuit MC is a 1.75" bore. I found a spec sheet that listed the length as 9.625 and 8.188 compressed. So I assume that'd be the piston travel. So that works out to be 3.46 cubic in. So .58 cubic in for each wheel?

    CUCV 1008,1009, 1028 prices.

My CUCV would only be sold to @Spot_ll if that ever happened. But I know I wouldn't take less than $12k as it sits right now minus the crane.

    Power Steering Possibility?

I was told 8 was enough from the mud people that run hydro steering. I know yours was a 9". But when it comes to cyl you have 8 then 10. So no 9 option. I'll probably just torch my own plates. Probably wouldn't be terribly hard to hack up the already broken up military steering wheel and...

    Power Steering Possibility?

The .275 servo came in today. As well as a power steering pump. I ordered a 3x8x1.25 double action cylinder. I'm going to just use a single cylinder and keep the stock drag link in place. Hopefully I'll win a trans cooler on ebay too for like $23. I have the couplers ordered. Once I get...

    Can't Upgrade My Account?

I got it, just been in a rush today. Got it downgraded, but it looks like you've upgraded now. I'll go address the time missing now.

    Can't Upgrade My Account?

I've got it setup this way now because before it would allow people to double buy the membership and wouldn't add in the time. The work around is for me to downgrade you, then you upgrade, then I add back in the time. And yes you'd be entered in for a second chance. Send me a message if you...

    Journey complete, 52 years later...

There's two sets of doors. The first entrance door, then the door opening to the shop area. Mr. Tillman was just shuffling about, but as soon as he stepped into the shop area he was face to face with the V100. His eyes opened wide and he approached the passenger side hatch. For a moment he...

modern dual circuit air over hydraulic brakes

Two axles or Three axles, they would use a two circuit MC. Front axle would be on one, the rear tandems on the rear. The air brake can/MC setup would allow you to easily mount it on the firewall. You'd gain some elevation doing that as well. My only concern with the setup is long term...

modern dual circuit air over hydraulic brakes

I'm interested in one of these myself. Mainly I just need to have a recommendation of what MC we could use. Because that's really nothing more than a brake can with the push rod cut down and a mounting plate made between it and the MC.

    re-using a torque converter

Well, it's your choice. A TQ from a known bad transmission almost certainly has metal/friction/contanimantes in it. But you're rolling the dice with a maybe transmission. The link I shared does specify the details you're looking for. 11.5". Just specify you want a 6 pad converter (photo is of...

    re-using a torque converter

Transfercase fluid doesn't flow through the tranmission at all. You'll never be able to get all the fluid and contaminates out of the converter, just due to it's shape. They have to be cut to be refurbished. Most likely there's nothing in the TQ that is wrong. Just a lot of stuff you don't...
