I didn't see"AMGeneral & G/F"in that list Clint,You know I'm gonna be there.
I'd definetly kick in some $$$$ for food or help or both,G/F is kinda a picky eater so she may eat in the local kitchen at DT.
Looking good Neil, definetly take it easy,GA is only 14 days away, save some strength for the drive down!!!
BTW Neil,2 Macks and 1 wrecker,not just 1 Mack
Chris,
I had a chance to look at you project truck last weekend(it was close to a cargo that i'm scraping up the $$$ for),Definetly a project for the faint of heart, but it's coming along nicely.Keep up the good work!!!
Russ,
I was gonna take the M54 or M35 to that to transport troops to and from the battlefield, but time till GA is short and I have 2 trucks to get ready,I'm not even gonna drive one to the meeting this weekend. But I explained this to Tarheel(Shannon),I think he is gonna take his deuce for...
I plan to be there between 12 and 1 Thurs barring any mechanical or traffic breakdowns.Cabin is reserved from Thurs night through Sun morning.Neil is gonna convoy down I -85 with me.
Thanks Neil and Cabell for the kind words,I try my best at helping out every chance I get,Plus I got to smoke over a few more trucks for the collection[thumbzup]
Ok folks,I remembered to post this a week ahead this time, next meeting will be held next Sat,Oct 10th at 9 AM,exit 33 off NC 321 at the resturant on the horth bound side.
Ok,I'm guessing by the M number, this is a 5 ton dropside cargo powered by a Mack ENDT 673 diesel,in which case here are your filter #s
All are Baldwin filter numbers
Full flow oil-P20HD
Bypass oil- P52
Primary fuel(drivers side frame,inside the front fender)PF 828
Final fuel(on engine)PF 819...
That's a common spot for a deuce to blow a head gasket, that is it's thinnest point(from the outside) along the whole gasket edge.Tarheel's Deuce blew at the exact same spot, just #1 cylinder vs #6.
Sorry to disagree with you on this one Kenny, that's not a intervehicular cable for a tractor, they have male(pins exposed) ends on both ends.I just happen to have one here for the 10 tons, will post pics tomorrow evening.
Just got back,WOW,I enjoyed every minute I was there,It rained just about all day Friday but Tarheel,Neil Hendrix and I slogged on through the mud. Russ dropped by on Sat for a while with his Deuce to hang out for a while as well.Great group of reenactors and vehicles, good food,LOTS of history...
Thanks Cabell and Clint ,been eating up all my spare time(next to none anyway).
Kenny,Yes,it's gonna be my driver to the GA rally, along with "Oddball" my deuce.
Well folks, got several steps closer to getting the 54A1 done today,if the weather holds out,it should be done tomorrow.Pics will be posted then of the finished product.Neil Hendrix came by and helped today, otherwiseI couldn't have gotten as far as I did,A big thanks for his help!!
