Absalutly correct, As you will find out if not insulated where required. All our inverters run to earth on the vehicle chassis, Except the chargers which are trickle charging both 12 and 24 volt..

Glad you are ok, and your truck left roadworthy. I always carry tow lights for driving in the dark. Which I very rarely do anyway. If at all possible.

Faulty brake light pressure switch. To make sure and bypass it to test the circuit, join the two wires so the the brake lamps light, then see if they then go out after a time.
