    I run accessories with a long hose from the in cab valve anyway. But nice (tidy) modification.

    CUCV starts fine... Immediately dies

    The hot wire goes straight to the pump shutoff feed. Also check for collapsed or 'soft' piping from the tank or to the pump. Check if fuel arrive at the pump.

    In your place I think I would be purchasing a truck from a known member on this site. A looked after and serviced truck is the only (real) way to go for a first time purchaser. (with all the manuals read and to hand).

    They can still work just fine even after all these years, We have a member of our military club that constructs the off road course every at the war and peace show in one. In fact they use two, We see them working in tandem, one 'digging' and the other 'pushes it from behind. Skilled operators...
