Start the gen set. Is there any voltage at the 120 volt outlets? If you have no voltage there, then the gen set is not making voltage. There should always be voltage there.

It could be the fault indicator. If you have access to another, I would swap them to see if that's it. Happened all the time with the older gen sets, and every now and then to the TQG's

Correct. There are TM's that explain the who, how, what of the PU set. The cable reel is also kinda handy.
