Part help and grease, M116a3 Trailer

I agree, nearly impossible to screw up, even for an E1, and so much time and effort saved.

    Brake Fluid Reservoir

Near full, depending on brake wear. The more the brakes are worn the lower it will be, and I don't know the lower limit, but as long as it's near the top you should be good. And yes, Silicon Brake Fluid only (DOT5) unless you've completely flushed out the system and using DOT3 or 4 (which...

Part help and grease, M116a3 Trailer

I have several trailer, so far haven't repacked any of the military ones, just my Dexter EZ Lube (which is a nice and easy job, just have to pop the covering off and pump grease through) The only issue I see with repacking them is if you damage the seal when repacking the inner bearing. For...

Has anyone seen this AWESOME spare tire rack system?

biggest issue with it for me is can't use it if you have a trailer attached. Not an issue for most of us here, but I like trailers.

    autozone CV half shafts

Go back a page on Autozone's website and it will show you which one fits where. Doing a search by 1996 Hummer H1 then CV axle Also, the "19060" is a starter. the "16060n is the rear, so the other two are fronts. 58 driver front 59 passenger front 60 rear.

Part help and grease, M116a3 Trailer

https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/m101a2-a3-brake-shoes-bearings.44524/ Read this thread, you'll find some part numbers that you can pick up locally for seals and a brake wheel cylinder kit. I did a search for the cylinder part numbers from the TM, but couldn't find the cylinders...

Rear fender condenser to Red Dot install thread

Just got off the phone with Craig at Mac Motors. Turns out someone's been shipping them brackets under the wrong part number, all the brackets they have are for the right hand side. They had received these under the wrong part number from a different distributor who apparently mislabeled them...

Rear fender condenser to Red Dot install thread

Sent Mac Motors an email, they replied back that they will go check stock and if they have it they will get it shipped to me by Friday. Honest mistake, looks like they're going to make it right, so good company to do business with.

Has anyone seen this AWESOME spare tire rack system?

it's interesting, but other than the PDF you linked it's not showing up on their website or google. There is another PGF for a swing away version for the airlift bumper, but also no other info anywhere.

Rear fender condenser to Red Dot install thread

pulled it out, found a barely legible part number stamped into it. Quick search of 4108852 crosses to 6015673, which is labeled as the RH bracket in the TM.

Rear fender condenser to Red Dot install thread

So looks like I have 2 choices. I can call up Mac Motors and complain that they shipped the wrong one, or I can do some grinding and welding to move the flat part to the rear. Third option I suppose is use this one as a pattern and make one. This bracket is the last piece I needed to install...

Rear fender condenser to Red Dot install thread

yes, I have it installed longer leg to the outside.

Rear fender condenser to Red Dot install thread

That's what I thought, so they definitely sent me the incorrect bracket. Description says "LH" , as opposed to RH, so I doubt I ordered the wrong one.

Rear fender condenser to Red Dot install thread

note to add about the bracket, the picture in the manual shows the vertical flat portion facing the rear, not the front like it looks when installed in my truck, so I'm leaning towards having received the incorrect bracket.

Rear fender condenser to Red Dot install thread

After I figured out exactly what I was doing I was planning on taking pictures with measuring devices to make it easier for the next poor sod who tries to do this. I've only found a couple threads that have had useful information, mostly over on G503.com, along with this gallery...

Rear fender condenser to Red Dot install thread

Yes, I will get to that once I know everything actually fits in there how it's supposed to. I'm hesitant to just start hacking holes in the fender when there's a small chance this won't work/gets screwed up/I go insane first.

Rear fender condenser to Red Dot install thread

So the pictures I see of this bracket installed shw the angled reinforcement part that sticks down towards the rear of the truck. the bracket I received has the flat angled portion facing the front. Can someone confirm the one I have is correct or did I possibly get sent the wrong side? If...

Rear fender condenser to Red Dot install thread

So another question for those that have worked with these condensers. How does it get sealed against the fender? I originally thought it would be right up against the outside of the fender, but now realizing that isn't going to happen, so wondering what is used to seal up that space so it...

    Vent lines

okay, it was pointed out to me that the one vent just goes to the fuel tank and stuff. On my truck the line going to the air filter housing has a little bit of a kink in it, there is always the chance there is something blocking your vent line.
