Well folks,it's that time of the month again,Sat Sept 13th at the Golden Corral in Hickory NC at 12:30 PM. I may be there a little late(if at all) as I should be coming back from SC with the M211 in tow.I'll try and make it if I can.
I got the M37 I got from Ferro running today, here's a few pics.
BTW,the temp gauge is not correct,it seems to be grounding somewhere,it flips to 240 as soon as you turn on the ACC switch.
Went this morning and picked this up to take to the scrapyard on Tues,The M54 didn't miss a beat from Morganton to Lenoir or on the return trip.I did have to shift back to 4th gear on 1 or 2 hills though.Just can't beat Mack power!!!!!
It runs/stops LOTS better than it looks! I also noticed while I had the grill off(replacing the radiator hoses and thermostat) that it has a YELLOW brige plate that has been painted over,I guess the only truck that had a green bridge plate when I got it was the Deuce.Hmmmm
I know tarheel is gonna be there, anybody else for sure gonna be there on Sunday?I'll try and find a meeting place for us that can accomidate large MVs.
Just thought I would post a few pics of the white M54 getting the injector pump timing reset.Found by analysis that it was firing about TDC vs 29deg BTDC.
Russ,
Plan is (so far anyway) to drive down to Ridgeway SC on Thurs evening, stay the night there, then meet up with Adam(Ferro) and jwaller, then convoy down I-20 to the rally, probably arriving about 12 to 1PM.
