I just used the gasket that came with the filter (#3511) for the Primary.
But it looks like it comes with #fil 5095 and fil 5133. Not sure which one I used.
Not sure if this helps?
rrrr, The abs light comes on and then goes off when you move the switch to run and you can here the valves (or relays) actuating.
I think I will unplug them or undo the power.
Do you know were the ABS control box is?
I will out of town for two or three days and not able to work on the truck...
Well did more testing.
Went out put air into rear emergency glad hand with a little air tool oil.
Rear Brakes are caged.
Pushed on the brakes a number of times and all worked fine. Air coming out of both Primary Relay Valve vent and Secondary relay Valve vent.
Started truck,, pushed on...
rrrr, Thanks for more things to try. I have used the glad hands for trouble shooting on other trucks. I will try the air tool oil all so.
I got the truck from GL the first week of Nov. and it was rebuild 7/2010 by Fort Riley, KS. But it had a starter problem and a fuel problem so it did sit...
Thanks Guys for all the inputs. Have not had much more time to work on it, today is my wifes Birthday.
With the brakes caged, the rear brakes lock up, not the fronts.
I did notice this morning that when the brakes are working the relay valve is letting air out. When the brakes are not...
Went out this morning looked at some things. Started truck, checked brakes
worked ok. Started to drive around our block, got about a 1/2 mile and the brakes locked up again.
I am starting to think it maybe the ABS system.
Is there a way to disable the ABS system?
I had a problem with my M923A1 today. The service brakes are not releasing.
I went into town to the post office (about 10 miles) and I noticed that the truck was not getting up the speed. When I got to the Post Office I noticed the rear brake were hot. I let them cool as I tried to find out...
I use JC Taylor insurance for all my military trucks.
I have historic tags.
But you do have to have a locked building for them.

Yes it is a M923A1. I used parts from Parker with plastic tubbing, like air line tubbing.
I used 5/16" line. After I got the parts I found some fitting that are 1/8" pipe and 3/8" tubing.
So I would of used 3/8" tubbing, but I think the 5/16" will work fine.
It took about 48' of tubing.
I took off my axle vents and put in some piping and hooked them all up to a central vent under the hood up by the motor.
Our road is very dusty, not sure if the dust did it or not, but one of the vents stopped working and blew out a seal and washed out all the grease in the bearings.
If you are going to flat tow I would remove all four in the rear and the front drive shaft from the front axle.
If you need to you will need to cage the brakes on the rear axles.
Here is a link to when we towed my M923A1 home. I just unbolted the front and rear drive shafts for the axles and...
My wife Lynne and I had a great time meeting Doug and helping a little.
It was a great day in the desert and doing things with a MV and Airplanes is just cool!
