When we picked up my M923A1 we towed it with a M916. We hooked up the air lines and I took off the drive shafts from differentials. Not sure if needed to remove it from the front, but I did. I tired the ends up out of the way.

I had a prime problem and it was the pickup tube in the tank.

Here is a handle I used. You have to do a little mod. work on the shaft, but it will work fine. Also need to paint it.

I have a M923A1 that was losing prime. I checked and checked for leaks and found none.
But GL damaged my fuel tank mount before I picked up the truck, so I removed the tank to repair the mount. Now that I had the tank off I removed the fuel pickup tube from the tank. The tube was about ready...
