The thing to remember is that a winch rated the same weight at your truck is *still* going to need a snatch block system.
Reason: the added resistance of being stuck will often exceed the capability of the winch
So forget the SWR trucks, IMO. Far too over-priced for a winch not even rated to...

Ah cool. I was unaware that the trailers used a different bushing.
The ones on my '08 truck are still solid but the ones on my M1082 started to break down as soon as I went to recover it.
I was told that they use the same bracket, but having owned a '98 w/3116 that had AC (driver-side mounting bracket) and now own a '08 w/C7 I do not see how the bracket from my old truck would work. I was even going to pull it to fab a replica.

The idea has been kicked around. As you said the cab lift system, the air-ride system, the cab leveling system, and the cab latching system all need to be addressed. I'm not aware of anyone that actually done it though. Like a lot of major mods, you'll have to re-engineer a good deal...
