JW, I might, then I can have two equally crappy wreckers! lol Seriously, I've been thinking about it, but for what Peck wants for it, I could throw at one of the M936's coming out of MS and possibly get one.
I might have a deal worked out for either a complete set of body panels, or a whole m62...
Yes, I think this will wind up being a yard crane, at least save it from the scrappers (well, not the cab and sheet metal) I will probably restore it one day.
But I need a road-able crane too, so I might just bid on a M936 :D
Then I will have TWO wreckers! Bwhahahahahahha!!!!
Hey All!
Went down to take a look at my M62 wrecker today, with BigUgh20 and a friend of mine. I got her cheap, and you will see why!
First off, she isn't a M62. After seeing several distinguishing features, she is a M543, just as others have suspected. Also is an early truck, as she was...
Well, it is on!
8am tomorrow morning. Me and Craig are going to meet down there and get her going.
got filters, fluids, and fresh fuel
And a platoons worth of tools.
We will have still cameras and video, and we will set up a way to cover the intake if it runs away.
Anyone want to join in...

The recovery will be M915 with Brandon's (AMGeneral) Lowboy, hopefully John (EMD567) and Brandon, will be available Friday the 30th to bring...

Filters- check
Fresh fluids- check
camera, video and still- check check
I'm going down Tuesday to attempt to get it running. I will also plan my recovery from there.
More like "I just bought a wrecker, how do I check the brake fluid?"
lol
Don't worry, there will be tons of pictures and video uploaded, I promise. anyone in the area that wants to ride along or meet...
It is mine, and it will be restored.
Clint, you're going to be the last Steel Soldier to get a wrecker....
It will be one **** of a recovery, when the guy says, "You'll need to bring a chainsaw":driver:
I have my M915 on a commercial policy with Progressive, as I use it for hauling commecially. I have my M818 and M109 with Progressive as well, but on the same kind of semi-quasi commercial policy as Wreckerman.
I did originally have my m818 on a 1mil commercial policy with Progressive- that...
I have the same issue. I'm looking at putting two air ride seats in mine very soon, and putting a heat/AC unit in between the seats. I hate riding on the pass side, no room for my legs with the big heater there. I might have to rig up some long duct to do a defrost, or put a little electric unit...
